Oxford is a popular tourist destination, and it is known for its vibrant cultural scene, with many bars, restaurants, and cafés catering to students and visitors. You can also enjoy punting down the river, watching a show at the theatre, or shopping at Westgate Shopping Centre.

The flat was in a great position - so close to all the amenities and had a lovely view of the Oxford Castle tower. It was really comfortable with everything we needed. A few issues:It was great to have hot water but it was scalding hot which probably isn't that safe. Also, as we had arrived by train, I was disconcerted that we had to pick up the keys from a key safe in a car park, not at the site of the accommodation. In fact the car park was close to the flats so very easy to find and then walk to the flat. The bedroom lamps could be a bit brighter to facilitate reading. The front door lock was a little tricky to close. The emailed details for access didn't arrive until the Friday lunchtime before our travel the following Tuesday which seemed a bit late (I was starting to worry).All in all, a perfect flat to explore Oxford from and then come back and relax!

We found The Hawking to be a superb holiday base. It suited our family group of three perfectly and it was clean, stylish and well equipped. We loved the layout, and the view over the mill stream opposite. The addition of a secure, reserved parking space made it perfect, and the owner`s instructions for arrival were clear and helpful. Most of all, it`s central position made it a fantastic base to explore Oxford from.This was the first time we have stayed in an apartment with parking, and we were very happy with our choice.

Perfectly located just a few minutes from the town centre. Secure parking a real bonus although the parking is tight if you have a bigger car. Took a while to find the keysafe for the keys as located by what looks like a derelict building. Flat has everything you need but would benefit from a little tlc in the the bathroom and cupboards delaminating in the kitchen. Overall a very enjoyable long weekend
