!! Bed was clean but blinds upstairs need replacing and it would be nice to have a blind in the bath room and mirror in the bedroom ! Windows were filthy bout side garden over grown and full of weeds also when we went in to the bathroom some ones boxer shorts were left on the towel rail !!! Good location and could be a little gem if it was cared for !

We eventually located the back gate of the house. It was difficult to read the house number on the gate as the paintwork was in a state of disrepair. The garden was in a terrible state. It was covered in weeds, the AstroTurf had real grass growing through it. There was a child's ball lying in the hedge, broken decorative pots, the base of the rotary dryer sticking above the ground and a pot filled with cigarette butt's and a packet of wipes. We found the key box and entered the kitchen. The house was dirty. I have pictures of filth covered floor wipes, surface wipes, the dirty fridge, filthy cupboards, dirty hob, grimy oven and oven hood. The sun was streaming in and there was no curtain to help reduce glare. There were no bath towels laid out, we eventually found them stacked untidily in the airing cupboard. They appeared washed. The bed linen was un-ironed. We were unable to switch the shower on in the bathroom. There bathroom window wouldn't open. The towel rail was covered in dust. The bathroom taps, basin and shower fittings were covered in limescale. The shower rail was almost hanging off the wall and there was no toilet roll holder or lock on the bathroom door. There were no curtains or blinds in two bedrooms and the bathroom. The banister was wobbly. The living room / dining room had cobwebs on the light fixtures and spiders by plugs. The floor by the patio doors were stained black, assumably by water ingress from leaking fixtures. There was no garden furniture to sit out on. The front garden was also covered in weeds. We spent the first hour cleaning what we had to use in the kitchen. I had brought my own sponge/scourer, washing liquid, tea towel which was just as well because the house had a used sponge available which should have been in the bin and a virtually empty washing up bottle. The sun dropped and so did the temperature. It was freezing downstairs and the only source of heat were storage heaters that were on a timer and stone cold. After eating we sat in front of a TV that had no service to broadcast tv and so tried to use the apps on the smart TV but they had to be logged into... I didn't have passwords on me so we watched repeats on BBCiplayer in our coats. Upstairs the house was sweltering and we had no way of turning the heating down. In the morning no one could wash properly so packed our bags. We travelled to visit relatives and then in the afternoon returned to the house, packed up the car and left for home. We left a day early because the house was dirty, cold, uncomfortable with poor bathroom facilities. I can honestly say, this was one of the most upsetting breaks I have ever had. The house has great potential in a beautiful setting. It is so unfortunate that it appears unloved and uncared for. The vase of fresh flowers was a nice touch.
