White Stones is a spacious and comfortable cottage in Burford, praised for its great floor plan, comfy beds, and proximity to local attractions. The property boasts a lovely outdoor area and is within walking distance to shops and pubs. Guests have had a pleasant stay, appreciating the property's location and the helpfulness of the owners.
The property was generally found to be clean, though one review mentioned a sticky kitchen floor. The issue was possibly due to improper cleaning products used on the flooring.
The property's location is ideal for exploring the Cotswolds, with a great pub/restaurant nearby and the town centre within a short drive or casual walk.
Guests found the beds super comfy and the house spacious. However, the house was quite cold upon arrival for one guest.
The property has a well-equipped bathroom and a new hot water boiler. However, the kitchen facilities were found lacking for cooking large meals, with insufficient cutlery and cooking utensils.
While guests appreciated the thoughtfulness of the owners, such as the provision of a disposable roasting tin, there is no mention of gifts to accurately assess this category. Therefore, it is not guaranteed that guests will receive gifts during their stay.

Property was lovely, we had a great holiday couldnt recommend enough

For the most part it was clean and comfortable and had plenty of space. The chimney was leaking rain and so the wood-burner was rusty and unusable, and had a puddle under it. The main problem was the shortage of kitchen equipment. There was not enough cutlery or bowls for a multi-course meal and snacks, so we were forever washing up, and there are no soup spoons. The cooking utensils are flimsy and not up to the job. There were only two small saucepans and a casserole, so cooking Christmas lunch was a challenge. The owners had thoughtfully left us a disposable roasting tin for a turkey (which we didn't use as we are vegetarians) but otherwise the kitchen was inadequate and I was very pleased that we had taken some essential equipment with us. It would be fine if you only wanted to make breakfast there and then go out for the day, but you can't really cook for a big family. The pub in the village is excellent.

It is well situated with lots of cotswold attractions within a short drive. great pub/restaurant 10 minutes walk and the town only 20 minutes.
