After you've parked up on the spacious gravel drive, enter your new home away from away to be met with a soft carpeted floor and a homely sitting room with plush furnishing to wind down on after a day of walking. Turn on the Smart TV and catch up on your favourite shows as you warm up by the electric fire. You'll also find a dining area, perfect for your home-cooked meals on your self-catered stay, with the kitchen being home to all the essential appliances and more, including a handy dishwasher and a washing machine! A spacious bathroom has both a bath and a walk-in shower, so you can indulge in a long soak to end another great day, and feel refreshed with a morning shower. At night, settle down in the pretty bedroom, with twin beds making it a great choice for friends travelling together and with the ground-floor layout being ideal for those with limited mobility. Delight in sitting out in the owner's beautiful enclosed garden which guests have access to, you can dine alfresco at the patio furniture and admire the views over the rolling hills beyond to the back of the property. Venture out on walks within this stunning landscape, with the local Foxhole Nature Reserve being a beautiful location to start with, you can begin from your doorstep and take a circular route to the woodland before coming back to the village, stopping off in one of the three delightful cafés for a post-walk treat. The village has everything you need for your stay, with a local Co-op, a pub and a bakery. You can get all the essentials and more, with the neighbouring village of Shipton-under-Wychwood offering amenities too. Local attractions which are perfect for a relaxing Sunday afternoon include the tranquil Foxholes Nature Reserve, a lush village green, the Wychwood Golf Club and the historic St Nicholas Church. The scenic Wychwood Wild Garden is another idyllic spot, spanning 12.5 acres and boasting woodland, avenues and ponds, it's a dreamy spot for a leisurely stroll. Enjoy an exciting day out at Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens, Cotswold Farm Park and Crocodiles of the World wildlife park. Venture down to the bustling town of Burford to browse the town's famous High Street, sweeping down towards the River Windrush, offering a line of ancient houses and shops to discover, with a three-arched medieval bridge and the stunning St John the Baptist Church, there's plenty to see here, as well as local history to learn about in the Tolsey Museum. A trip to this end of the Cotswolds wouldn't be complete without visiting the 'Venice of the Cotswolds', Bourton-on-the-Water, a beautiful town built around the River Windrush with pretty bridges to cross as you stroll past the waters, with The Model Village, the Cotswold Motoring Museum and Toy Collection and The Dragonfly Maze all being well-worth a visit, set amongst a wonderful selection of quintessential pubs and tearooms to enjoy too. A small hamlet just 4 miles from the maritime town and harbour of Falmouth. The surrounding countryside offers rolling fields, country lanes and misty, atmospheric creeks that wind their way inland from the sea through deep, wooded valleys. The area is perfect for lovers of breathtaking countryside, for enjoying time in boats and for long country walks. Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches will keep you occupied for hours. Its old harbour-side pubs, excellent shopping, Pendennis Castle and the stunning new National Maritime Museum complete the picture. Across the harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes).
