About this property

Honeystones Cottage is a lovely, recently renovated property in the heart of the Oxfordshire village of Curbridge, and just 1 mile from the centre of the market town of Witney. Set in generous grounds, with ample off street parking to the front of the property, and a private, enclosed garden to the rear, Honeystones has been converted into high quality holiday accommodation that is spacious and will cater for your every need. Downstairs you will find the beautifully presented kitchen - diner, a lovely social space where you can while away the hours. If the weather permits, this leads directly to the generously proportioned garden. On the ground floor you will also find the comfortable and inviting sitting room, as well as the conservatory located just off the kitchen - ideal if you fancy a few quiet moments to yourself. The ground floor also provides a luxurious en suite bedroom - ideal for those members of your party who may not be as mobile as they once were. Upstairs (and please be aware that these stairs are steeper than you would normally find) there are 2 further bedrooms (one super-king size double (this bed is zip and link so can be set up as 2 singles if required - please advise at time of booking) and a single room. You will also find the family bathroom. About 1.5 miles away you have Witney town centre, with a wide range of pubs, restaurants and cafes, so you will be well served if you decide that cooking is over rated whilst on holiday.

Iconic Cotswold destinations such as Burford and Woodstock are just a short drive away, whilst Blenheim Palace, the birth place of Winston Churchill, can be reached in less than 15 minutes.

All in all we feel that Honeystones is the ideal destination for friends and families seeking a few days rest and relaxation.

The thriving village of Curbridge lies in beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, on the edge of the Cotswolds. The village boasting the Lord Kitchener pub, which allows dogs and offers excellent meals at reasonable prices is located just 1.5 miles south of the ancient town of Witney and 12 miles from Oxford. The riverside town of Witney, mentioned in the Domesday Book, offers many attractions and amenities including a weekly market which dates back to the Middle Ages, a 16th century market square and 18th century town hall, allegedly designed by Sir Christopher Wren. Witney is also home to the Wychwood Brewery. The university city of Oxford, known as 'The City of Dreaming Spires', offers many attractions such as the oldest university teaching room, many museums, botanical gardens and the Bodleian Library. Oxford also plays host to many markets and festivals throughout the year. Blenheim Palace, the ancestral home of Winston Churchill is close by where you can enjoy the landscaped parkland designed by Capability Brown, the great lake and beautiful village of Woodstock. Just a little further afield are the beautiful Cotswold Wildlife Park offering many rare and endangered species, the Cotswold Water Park with its abundance of activities, Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, Warwick and Leamington Spa, all offering a great day out for all the family. A great destination for a memorable holiday.

Welcome pack was appreciated. Only improvement would be to have a mirror in the downstairs bedroom to facilitate doing makeup and hair.

Immaculately clean, with everything provided for a comfortable stay. We were there in the winter and it was very warm, and had an open fire. Highly recommended

Well a equipped kitchen but found a lack of cupboard space for our groceries a good garden + plenty parking space, love it will book and return again. Note for owners gateway is plenty wide enough but had differcult vision when driving out pedestrains and traffic too the left, just trim the conifers back safe then.
