‘Tree Tops’ in Whitehill Barn is a purpose-built holiday flat that sits in the 3 acres of land surrounding Whitehill House on Whitehill in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Tree Tops is situated in the hamlet of East End, near North Leigh, Witney in Oxfordshire. With no neighbours – apart from the owners of Whitehill House and the local wildlife, you can anticipate a welcoming peacefulness and calm when you arrive. Sleeping a family or a group of four, with two additional fold-out beds, and offering a bubbling hot tub, Tree Tops is an ideal retreat for those looking to spend quality time together in the heart of rural Oxfordshire. Access the property via a gravel driveway boasting ample off-road parking and safe storage for bikes. Make your way through the front door and into a lobby, complete with a desk, superfast broadband and USB sockets should you need to work during your stay. A handy cupboard holds everything you need for washing your holiday attire, including an ironing board, iron and clothes airers, and you will also find games, DVDs, a box of craft materials and books for quality-time relaxation. Upstairs is an airy and bright open-plan living space, with a kitchen, dining and sitting area and velux windows; two plush sofas and a comfortable chair offer a home-from-home atmosphere, inviting you to relax in front of the Smart TV with DVD player. Hot tub is definitely a selling point! Richard and Susan are quite thoughtful and attentive, with arranging a nice fruit cake on arrival along with quite a few essentials, like milk, oil, sugar, salt...etc. The not so good things are the fact that the flat is above a ground floor flat that is also rented to guests and we were told on one occassion that we were a bit loud for the guests beneath us, even though we weren't. We don't drink and was there to just relax and spent the evening just watching movies so can't imagine what the other guests were complaining for?! This being said, I can't imagine what it would be like for people with kids who might make a bit of noise or other guests who may feel the need to tiptoe around because of people are staying beneath them. That was a bit of a downer to tell the truth, I think it should be made clear on the advert to allow renters to factor this into their decision. It's a shame because other than this and the shower pressure being quite weak, its a lovely stay.

Owners Susan and Richard are great hosts, very welcoming, helpful. The information on the cottage and surrounding areas for things to do and visit, very helpful, well put together. The accommodation is wonderful, everything you need for your stay,great hot tub on the balcony overlooking the garden, were we saw deer, hares, birds of prey. Very relaxing. Very good location for visiting attractions. Blenheim palace is a must. Would recommend staying here if visiting the area. Thank you Susan Richard for a wonderful stay. We all loved it. X
