The Lodge is the perfect holiday home for a large family or friends looking for a break away together. There is a lovely sociable open-plan kitchen/ dining/living room that leads out to a wraparound garden - a perfect spot for relaxing on a summer’s evening. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need for the designated chef to rustle up some good food. There are two bedrooms. The first bedroom sleeps up to four people in a large bedroom with a kingsize bed and single day bed that pulls out to create a double. On the first floor is an en-suite modern bathroom with a bath. The second bedroom is located on the ground floor with kingsize bed and benefits from an additional ground floor modern bathroom with a shower cubicle.
This is an ideal base for couples and families looking for a holiday on Hampshire’s couth coast less than 5 miles to the seaside resort of Southsea. The Victorian seafront boasts a funfair and leisure complex, large open green spaces perfect for picnics plus canoe lake, splash and play parks, and even a spot of kite flying to keep the children entertained. There is also a hovercraft that runs daily from the beach to the Isle of Wight. Southsea Castle, Portsmouth’s historic dockyard featuring HMS Victory and the Mary Rose Exhibition, and The D-Day Museum are well worth a look around. The tropical marine life at the Blue Reef Aquarium is a great day out come rain or shine. During the summer months, you can enjoy a whole host of family-friendly events on the common such as the Victorious Festival (music festival), the annual International Kite Festival, Portsmouth Pride, and regular live music events at Southsea bandstand. Less than 15 minutes away is Gunwharf Quay which features waterfront dining, designer outlet shops, a cinema, bowling, as well as the Spinnaker Tower with spectacular views.

The Lodge was one of the best holiday rentals we have stayed in. Very comfortable (especially the beds) and peaceful, with all the essentials provided, even pods for the coffee maker!
