Private parking for 1 car.. Both properties: Electric central heating, bed linen and towels included. Welcome pack. Sitting-out area with bench. 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead in the grounds. No smoking.. These two single storey, semi-detached cottages have been converted in 2018 from outbuildings which were once a hen house, on the owner’s stud farm. The properties overlook woodland at the back, and there is a small sitting-out area for each property. There is superb walking straight from the door, onto a public footpath and fields which run alongside the owners’ farmhouse. There is a scenic ramble to a good pub in Tandridge through the fields and woodland, which takes about half an hour. Next door to the bungalows, is a garden centre with a walled garden restaurant, which is open during the day and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings. It also have a coffee shop and demonstrations/workshops at certain times of the year.
The pretty village of Godstone is about a mile away with a range of traditional shops, pubs and eateries, and Caterham is also nearby. London is easily reached in about half an hour via the fast train from Oxted, 2 miles away. There are plenty of stately homes and gardens to explore, all within easy driving distance including Chartwell, Hever and Leeds Castles, Penshurst Place, Polesden Lacey, Ardingly, Hampton Court Palace, Bletchingley Castle, Leonardslee Gardens, Nymans and Sheffield Park. For horse racing enthusiasts days out at Epsom, Lingfield Park or Brighton race courses are a must. For family days out visit Chessington Zoo World of Adventure, Denbies Vineyard and Brocketts Farm, while Brighton and the south coast can be reached in about 45 minutes, with a host of seaside activities and family entertainment. Also within easy reach is Dover with trips to Calais, and the spa town of Tunbridge Wells. Fishing, golf and horse riding can all be found nearby. Shop, pub and restaurant next door or 1 mile.

Dit was de 3de keer dat we tawny owls hebben geboekt.Alles aanwezig, alleen moeten de pannen vervangen worden, teflon laag is beschadigd. De bedden zijn uitstekend. Beschrijving van de werking van de verwarmingselementen zou prettig zijn.De eigenaren zijn bijzonder vriendelijk, geven goede tips en altijd bereid tot een praatje. Erg gezellig.De cottage ligt vlak bij Knight's garden center. Daar kun je van een goede lunch genieten.Voor ons een ideale basis om vrienden te bezoeken/ontvangen.Alles in acht genomen: een aanrader.

The accommodation was ok, quite sparse.Good; quiet, warm inside, bed comfy.Not so good; door locks on front door and patio very difficult to lock, rug in living room was dirty, no welcome pack, bed linen (duvet) had stain on it, only two medium sized towels, toilet takes an age to fill after flushing, showe door leaks.Although we met Christine when they had a problem with land slip, she didn't appear until then.
