This boutique lodge is surrounded by the rolling green Surrey Hills and looks out onto a paddock. Internally the décor is bursting with well thought out design elements, making The Haybarn the perfect couples retreat.
With accommodation all on one level, enter through bi-folding doors into the open-plan living space. The modern kitchen is well-equipped and the living space has a feature wood burning stove, Smart television and large corner sofa. The dining area is well thought out with a stylish sit-up bar table. To the front of the property, the bi-fold doors open up to bring the outside in, with patio furniture allowing guests to soak up the sun. The hallway leads to two bedrooms. Bedroom one with comfy king-size bed and en-suite bathroom including a walk-in shower and beautiful free-standing bath; bedroom two has an equally comfy double bed and, again, a stylish en-suite with a large walk-in rain shower.
Just down the road is Hurtwood Park and Polo Club, one of the UK’s only polo clubs of its kind, where you can access various facilities and events throughout the year. As well as the smaller towns and villages that surround you, you are just an hour from London, Portsmouth, Brighton and equidistant between Gatwick and Heathrow airports. So there are plenty of places to explore during your stay. The local village pub, The Bulls Head Inn has undergone an extensive refurbishment and is a lovely stroll away from The Haybarn.

Subject to room in the stables, should you wish to bring your own horse - expert dressage tuition with international dressage riders is available to book directly with the owners. (Please be aware, The Haybarn does not provide trekking or riding lessons).
One to one yoga and private dining is also available to book directly with the owners, subject to availability.
Children and infants welcome (to be included within the maximum capacity of four guests), please provide your own travel cot and high chair if required.
The property is situated on an equestrian working farm, therefore guests are asked to be respectful to the neighbours and to keep late night noise to a minimum please.

Please be aware, a right of way footpath to the Surrey Hills goes across the owners neighbouring grounds.
Due to the remote location of the property, mobile phone signal can be weak.
A complimentary hamper is included with the property, however the contents may vary to the standard Rural Retreats hamper.
The Haybarn is within walking distance of a pub.

The house is very well equipped and furnished very tastefully. We immediately felt at home. Bathrooms are outstanding. The surroundings are beautiful and it is incredibly silent!

It was a great experience, the only thing was the WiFi and there were loads of cobwebs but I had a really nice stay.

What a magnificent place. My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend here and could not have wished for anything better. The Haybarn is a home created for comfort -- from the large, comfy couch to the well-equipped kitchen to the large screen TV (nicely disguised to blend in with the artwork) to the amazingly comfortable bedrooms and large bathrooms. We visited during a cold and windy weekend and ended up spending more time inside than planned as we had a puncture on our way to dinner so had to turn back, dine in (a good second choice since my husband is a fabulous cook!) and wait for the RAC to arrive the following day. What could have been a challenging situation turned out to be quite lovely: dinner at "home" with a good movie on the telly and a few glasses of wine. And we had our anniversary dinner the following night (at an excellent pub named The Parrot, about 10 minutes away in Forest Green). We both agreed that the Haybarn was one of the loveliest places we've stayed in. There's not a sound to be heard since it's in the countryside on a beautiful farm, and it's warm and cozy enough to make you want to snuggle up and go nowhere. We were also blown away by the very generous supplies left for us by the owners - that far exceeded most of the place we've stayed. It's on our list of places to return to.
