Guests say

The Haybarn in Surrey Hills is consistently praised for its tranquil, rural setting and immaculate presentation. Guests appreciate the property's tasteful decoration, comfortable furnishings, and the serene views of grazing horses. Its proximity to nature reserves and local attractions, along with a well-equipped kitchen, adds to the charm. Some guests mention a generous welcome hamper, enhancing the experience. While there are minor comments on the narrow access lane and limited food provisions, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Reviews frequently highlight the property's impeccable cleanliness, with several guests describing it as spotless and well-kept, indicating a high standard of hygiene and maintenance.

The location is celebrated for its peacefulness and beauty, with easy access from London. The rural setting and proximity to nature reserves and local towns are highly valued, despite some remarks about the narrow access lane.

Comfort is well-regarded, with mentions of comfy beds and a cosy wood burner. However, a few guests noted the mattresses could be improved and the space might be tight for four adults, slightly affecting the score.

Facilities are generally praised, especially the well-equipped kitchen and modern furnishings. Some guests felt the kitchen could be better stocked and mentioned slow Wi-Fi, which suggests room for improvement.

Guests are pleased with the thoughtful touches, such as quirky artwork and a welcome hamper. While the hamper is mentioned positively, it is important to note that such amenities are subject to availability and not guaranteed.

Very disappointed with this stay. I thought that booking with this company I would be guaranteed a lovely stay. This stay was very expensive so I was expecting quality. The showers were dangerously slippery. Mentioned several times in the guest book but nothing done about it. The fire exit was impossible to escape from if a fire did occur. The fire door was locked to escape to the yard. There is no washing machine at this property. The short stroll to the pub is more like a 20min hike & the local shop is even further away. This property needs to be looked at carefully by the owners. If they want to let it to all different people then they need to make the property accessible to all.

The Haybarn was gorgeous, incredibly clean and well kept. Our only 'complaints' would be the lack of food supplied at the property was small, and for such a high price per night it would have been nice to have 40-50 dollars worth of food in the fridge. And also the wifi was incredibly slow (like won't load netflix without 20 minutes of buffering slow) so at night when you want to relax to a movie it was a little frustrating. Overall though the place is gorgeous and so are the nearby towns. Our taxi driver from the area was a long term local and very friendly on the drive back to Heathrow one morning.
