Arrival Information: Darwin Escapes check-in’s are available from 16:00. If you are likely to arrive later than 18:00, please call our resort reception team on 01252 792 199 to let them know. Please note any guests under the age of 18 needs to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Departure Information: Check out time is at 10:00am on the day of your departure. Darwin Escapes kindly ask that you leave your accommodation as you found it.
Hot Tub Information: Please note due to water change and maintenance your hot tub may not be up to the correct temperature when you first arrive. By using the hot tub you are agreeing to Darwin Escapes’ terms and conditions, and agreeing that you have read their hot tub safety information, found here.
Travel cot hire: You can request a travel cot on your booking. Please note, there is no bedding provided and the mattresses are folding, thin and firm and is provided by manufacturer. We require you to follow the safety instructions, which state not to use a secondary mattress or any padded bedding such as pillows or quilts. You must bring your own bedding (e.g infant sleep bags). Please contact reception for mattress dimensions should you require. For further information on safe sleeping in travel cots please refer to information available from sites such as the Lullaby Trust. Important travel COT information Manufacturers instructions are provided at the point of issue and cots are cleaned in line with these after each use. Please also be aware that travel cots may not fit in double/master bedrooms in selected units, please call reception on 01252 792 199 for more information if a cot is needed.
Pets: Please make sure that you have included your pet in your booking. If your pet is not included, Darwin Escapes will either relocate you to a pet-friendly lodge, if there is one available, or holds the right to refuse access to the resort. You may be liable for any charges incurred.
Additional Information: All accommodation at Tilford Woods has free Wi-Fi, but signal can be intermittent and not guaranteed. Please note there is only one allocated parking space per lodge. Any additional cars must be parked in the visitors bays or at the top of the drive into the resort. Bathrobes: Bathrobes are available to hire for £5.00 per bathrobe. Please note: Bathrobes are only available on a request basis when you arrive at the park.
Group Bookings/Party Types: A security deposit may be requested on arrival.
Work Parties: No Work vehicles or Workwear will be permitted on site. Un-authorised Work Parties will not be allowed to stay.
DVD players are included in the Lodges but DVDs are available to rent for £1 at reception. There are also board games that guests can borrow, please collect these at reception.

PLEASE READ TO AVOID MASS DISAPPOINTMENT Lodge 21!We were booked into a lodge with a hot tub arriving 3rd-6th April we were really looking forwards to our stay as we have been twice before and loved our stay. On this occasion I was so disappointed our weekend was ruined, we arrived at 4pm and after travelling a couple of hours and paying out for a kennels and getting help with our 2 disabled children we were really needing this relaxing break the hot tub was the main reason for coming back!We got straight in the hot tub and realised it wasn't very warm so I called reception to get it turned up they came straight down which was good, but we only stayed in 15 minutes as it was Lukewarm at best. At 8pm we thought it would be fine to get in but we couldn't as it was colder than earlier I called out of hours maintenance and the same man came back up he said it was at the max but did come to look again he said there were no error codes and to see the manager tomorrow. We set an alarm to get up to reception at 9, as you can imagine we were feeling really deflated and stressed rather than relaxed! At reception we were told the manager wasn't there and was away for Easter bank holiday! They informed us they couldn't move us as all lodges were full. The maintenance man said he had a new thermostat he was going to try so we went out for the day. When we returned it was exactly the same, I felt so upset we had waited so long to get our children cared for and to have a break we went back to reception and was told there was nothing more they could do all we could do is email Darwin Escapes (NO CONTACT PHONE NUMBER) but they made it clear no one would reply till after the bank holiday. This was disgraceful a manager should be reachable if needed, we were let down.We left Saturday evening after speaking to Hoseasons who we're very helpful, as I contacted them within 24 hrs we were offered a full refund we were told if we stayed till the following morning we would only get 20%! I'm so disappointed I thought I would always come back to Tilford lodges it had always been worth it's money and I guess I had been lucky to never have had problems before but after this and that I couldn't even get to speak to a manager for help I can't return, or recommend them. I emailed guest relations at Darwin escapes and the response was as I had a full refund they couldn’t help! So my complaint was not resolved and the problems we encountered could happen to others which is disappointing. We may have got our money back but that didn’t save the weekend of relaxation we so hoped for.

Fantastic place to stay! Really gorgeous lodge and very comfy and warm. Great place to go if you have a dog as lots of places nearby to walk and eat. Great location will go back again
