The two bedrooms offer a ¾ bed and double bed and twin beds. Each lodge features a well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, a living area with a flat-screen TV and gas wood burner, and a shower room. A delightful veranda with views over the river has outdoor seating perfect for a morning coffee. Guests can also enjoy the shared, enclosed garden for leisurely morning breakfasts or evening conversations with a glass of wine, providing stunning views of the local countryside.
Facilities comprise an outdoor heated swimming pool with a separate shower, toilet, and changing room, as well as a cinema room, enclosed paddock for dogs, barbecue, sun terrace, river walks, and various seating areas for enjoying the peaceful surroundings. A fully enclosed play area for children features swings, a slide, trampoline, and there is also a games room for both children and adults.
Each studio allows one dog and includes a doggy welcome pack, with dogs to be kept on a lead due to potential other dogs on site. An enclosed paddock is designated for dog use. There are communal laundry facilities available for guests use.

Lovely peaceful lodge outside the city of bath We loved the area and the hot tub was great Lodge had a lovely private balcony that we enjoyed having breakfast on overlooking stream and woods

Apart from the peaceful setting and nature views, everything was truly a disappointment. I planned this trip away for my wife’s birthday and unfortunately the experience ruined the day. On the way here we had difficulties getting to the lodges because there aren’t many signs pointing towards the lodges. Firstly, we saw the dirty hot tub, with sand on the bottom of the water and green algae on the sides of the hot tub. These were all clear signs that the hot tub had not been cleaned after the previous clients. Once we got inside the lodge, we saw the beds which had pillows that were stained, with the duvet and covers having human and animal hair on them. The bathroom was completely disgusting, with the toilet (which had a tag saying it was sanitised) being dirty, with hairs around it, the shower cabin glass has clearly not been cleaned for months, and the shower tray had hairs and marks that it had not been washed. Also, outside the lodge, the terrace was full of leaves, dust and so on…the kitchen was also dirty, with spider webs hanging from the ceiling. Unfortunately there is no section to add photos, I wonder why... Aside from this being very uncomfortable, all these things which are not cleaned or sanitised properly increase the likelihood of infection. We called the host and told him the hot tub was dirty and he came back one hour later to clean it. We also showed all the other problems, and he seemed rather annoyed…he did change one of the duvets, and somewhat cleaned the shower tray…when I showed him the shower tray he was trying to say the tray was stained rather than dirty…and after cleaning, those “stains” were gone…The kettle was full of limescale and when I showed the host, he said they don’t have any limescale tablets but that he will buy some the day after…we never received anything to clean the kettle with. Overall, considering the price, because this was not a cheap holiday (over £430 for 2 nights) we would not return and would not recommend this place to anyone. All the pictures online were taken when the place was first built probably, as everything looks very old and used now, without having been maintained properly. We don’t think this place meets the minimum hygiene levels. This has come as a very big disappointment and has truly taken away from the excitement of being on holiday (my wife and daughter could not wait to get back home). This review has not been written to make any harm, but we chose this lodge because of the very good reviews found online…so we want others to know what to expect. Compared to all the lodges we have been to in the UK, this was the worst one.

We absolutely loved our stay here. For us, the location was perfect as we planned to stay mainly on site and it felt very rural while still having amenities nearby. The hosts were brilliantly attentive. The on site facilities were perfect and the peaceful tranquility was spot on.
