In gorgeous countryside a few miles from the World Heritage city of Bath, this impressive former church-owned residence sleeps 15 to 30 guests in ten bedrooms and is well suited for celebrating a special family occasion, corporate team building event or just getting all your friends together for a catch-up and some time away together.
Whether you stay self-catered or catered (the bookings secretary can put you in touch with local caterers), Cholwell Hall's facilities make it exceptionally appealing to large groups. The impressive grand dining room has space to seat up to 30 guests for a celebratory meal; whilst the lounge is huge making it perfect for a pre-dinner drink in front of the roaring centre fireplace, and after-dinner entertainment with game tables for football, tennis and pool (there is even a karaoke machine!). Two kitchens ensure everyone can muck-in and help when it comes to meal-times and the main kitchen also has a table and chairs ideal for more casual meals or children's dinners. There is an acre of grounds for relaxing and having fun when the sun shines so plenty of room should you want to organise games such as gladiator or bungee-run with local companies.
You could happily spend a day or two exploring the Georgian city of Bath or head south to another one of Somerset's fine cities, Wells with its impressive cathedral. For those who like being outdoors, the Mendip Hills is one large outdoor playground and perfect for outdoor pursuits; whilst Wookey Hole Caves, Cheddar Gorge and Chew Valley Lakes are sure to hold appeal for all ages and energy levels. The local area also provides the opportunity for quad-biking and paint-balling if you are seeking adventure, as well as spa treatments for those who are in need of pampering.
For those who want to venture further afield, Cholwell Hall is within driving distance of world-famous Stonehenge, Longleat with its impressive house and wildlife park, The American Museum, Glastonbury with its famous festival, the Somerset Levels and Clarks Village for some retail therapy.
Just an hour and a half by train from London (plus a half hour taxi ride) makes Cholwell Hall an exceptionally convenient location for a large group gathering.

,Cholwell Hall offers great flexibility to accommodate up to thirty guests in ten bedrooms (5 double beds and 18 singles) and 6 bathrooms. Beds are dressed in quality bed linen and all bedrooms enjoy views over the gardens.

Outside: Guests have an acre of grounds to enjoy when the sun shines with plenty of grass areas for picnics, relaxing (there is always a tree to provide shade if you want a quiet moment with your book!). Picnic tables are provided on the lawn for sitting out and enjoying a glass of wine and there is ample off-road parking and space should you want to organise games for your event (the booking secretary can put you in touch with local companies who provide this).
Additional information: Hen and stag parties welcome by arrangement. Outside caterers can be arranged. Six additional fold-up beds can be provided by arrangement with the bookings secretary. Prices include utilities and bedlinen. Towels are not provided - please bring your own (the bookings secretary can arrange towels at an additional cost if pre-arranged in advance). Short breaks available all year round with a 2 night weekend minimum (they normally run from Friday 16:00 to Sunday mid-day and mid-week 3-5 night breaks are also available). As a general rule, weekend breaks cost apx £55-85 per person per night based on full occupancy with mid-week rates being charged at £40-70 per person per night based on 3 nights. Outside caterers can be arranged in advance and there are pubs nearby for eating out.
