Please note that Beachcroft dates from 1864 therefore the staircase is of that period so be aware it’s steep climb. Outside, you’ll find an enclosed garden, a safe haven for pets and the perfect spot to soak up the fresh coastal air.

Our second stay in this lovely house. Despite its proximity to the high street (with a great range of restaurants, take-aways and shops) it is quiet and we slept very well. In ten minutes’ walk you are at the beach- which our dogs loved! The patio garden is fully enclosed and thus very secure for dogs. I note that this is not apparent on cottages.com and as we dog walkers may set a filter for ‘enclosed patio/garden’ this ideal property would be missed. The property itself is ridiculously well-equipped- you could host a dinner party with the immense range of cookware, cutlery and crockery! Practical, comfortable and ideally situated.The stairs are a little steep, but since or last stay in February, the owners have thoughtfully added an extra handrail at the top to help navigate for those of us needing extra help. The parking will, and had been mentioned in reviews. We have a large SUV, so we would struggle to fit it on the space outside, however there is a car park two roads down (5 min walk) which is only £6.50 per 24 hours, so there is an option should you struggle to park. We have got used to this small downside, and we feel that the comfort and locality of the property makes up for it.

Lovely cottage, very comfortable & well equipped. Perfect for our short break near the sea.Only issue is parking, as the space is tiny & not suitable for most cars. Very limited on street parking. This should be made clearer when booking, as for us it is an essential.

If you like to cook, you’ll love the well equipped kitchen at this property. I’ve never seen so much kitchen equipment outside a professional kitchen! Indeed the home is packed with everything you could ever need. Close to a high street - there are several local takeaways and pubs /cafes. The walk to the cliff top and beach is about 15-20 mins walk away. The garden is safely enclosed for dog owners, and is a lovely sun trap. Both double bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The house is clean and well maintained.The only two negatives for us was firstly the parking. Congested roads nearby and a parking space that is only suitable for a very small car, and secondly the very steep stairs- that would benefit from a handrail at the top. Would happily stay again.
