These properties are ideal for couples or families, offering couple, spacious accommodation and private outdoor spaces with hot tubs. The properties lie on the National Cycle Network, and this area is known for its scenic walks and wildlife. There is a direct gravel track along the Castleman Trailway (the old railway line) to miles of woodland walks making this ideal for walkers and cyclists. One route leads to a pub, Chinese restaurant and golf course (all within 20-minute flat walk).
Cranborne Chase and the Jurassic coastline (Purbecks, Swanage and Wareham) are within easy reach, the latter being a nationally protected Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offers extensive scenic walks and a wealth of wildlife. Wimborne is a market town with a historic town trail taking in the buildings ranging from the 15th to 17th centuries. Here you will also find the popular Tivoli theatre, model town, coffee houses, shops, market and restaurants. The sandy beaches at Bournemouth and Poole are just 10 miles away and Sandbanks, Studland Bay and the Poole Natural Reserve are within easy reach. A beautiful well thought out accomodation. Nearly everything you could want there. The garden was fantastic with plenty of places to sit. The bedroom opposite the front door, only had a hanging rack rather than a wardrobe or cupboard. The other bedroom had a cupboard/wardrobe so cases could be put out of the way. Both ensuite shower rooms were roomy enough.The kitchen seemed to have everything you would need, except the addition of an air fryer oven would be great and a steamer saucepan with 2 or 3 layers would be good too. We did manage to cook a full lamb roast on Father's day which went down well.The only reason I gave 4 stars overall was because there weren't any fans provided. Thankfully I'd asked this question and was told there weren't any. As we were warned of a heatwave each couple took a fan.Because of the extreme weather we ended up going home on the Tuesday as our dog was suffering as was my husband who cope with the heat due to aedical reason. So we all decided it would be better to go home as the forecast was just getting hotter and hotter. If there had been a couple of portable Aircon units we could have at least stayed as we could Have cooled down somewhere. Id certainly stay again even if I had to bring my own Aircon, if I could get it in the car!
