The lodge was spotlessly clean on arrival. It’s in a fairly private spot and is very comfortable inside. Bedrooms a good size and kitchen well equipped. We were very lucky with the weather as we stayed during the July heatwave. Luckily we have stayed in lodges before in hot weather and took 4 fans with us. I would definitely advise taking fans if you know it is going to be warm as only 1 small tabletop one supplied. The lodge got super hot inside in the afternoon when the sun came round and we would have really struggled without the fans, especially the dog.The park is really good and has lots to do if you want activities. The outdoor pool was lovely but not open enough in hot weather. The entertainment was good for children and the food on the park really nice. The Claypipe Pub next door was lovely but you need to book in advance as it gets really busy and we were not there in peak season.
