About this property

Bursting with traditional charm, this spacious, 17th-century converted stone barn accommodates up to six guests, offering an ideal retreat for families and small groups of friends to gather and enjoy the beauty of Cornwall. The communal games room is an excellent feature to keep the younger guests entertained during their stay. As the adults take a well-deserved rest, children can engage in friendly table tennis matches or darts or select from various available games.

Upon entering the property, you are greeted by a picture-perfect living space which exudes character. A large fireplace with a slate hearth and wood burner provides the focal point to this beautiful room and creates an idyllic cosy setting in the winter months. The beamed ceilings, sumptuous sofas and soft, natural tones of the room inspire relaxation as you put your feet up in front of the Smart TV for an evening of entertainment.

Floor to ceiling patio doors, which allow natural light to flood into the living room, open out to a private garden. Surrounded by trees and greenery, you can listen to the birds sing as you enjoy a morning coffee on the comfortable outdoor seating. There is also a BBQ provided so you can cook up a storm on those warm summer evenings, using all the tasty treats you have collected during the day’s adventures.

A homely, shaker-style kitchen offers all the amenities you might need for the duration of your stay including an oven, hob, dishwasher, kettle, microwave, and a coffee machine along with a full set of glassware, cookware and tableware for evenings gathered around the well-sized dining table for a family meal.

A beautiful, handmade staircase leads you upstairs where you will find two spacious bedrooms, in addition to the double sofa bed in the living space, which is ideal for those travelling with younger children.

After taking in the views from the quaint Juliet balcony on the light and airy landing, you will pass through into the master bedroom which features a king size bed complete with soft, comfortable bedding which promises the perfect night’s sleep. Cornish stone walls and vaulted, beamed ceilings are continued into the bedrooms adding that sense of whimsical charm to your stay. To the other end of the landing there is a twin room with a vanity unity, plenty of storage and views out across the valley.

Both bedrooms are served by a modern family bathroom with a bath and over bath power shower. You are provided with fresh towels along with complimentary toiletries from Made for Life Organics for the duration of your stay, including shampoo, hand soap and body wash.
