This well-presented, detached chalet lies on the Penstowe Manor Holiday Park, close to the historic village of Kilkhampton and two and half miles from the sandy beach at Sandymouth Bay. Offering three bedrooms, 28 The Manor is a lovely home-away-from-home for families looking to explore this tranquil part of Cornwall. Enter into the open-plan living space, with a sitting area offering plenty of seating where you can curl up and relax of an evening, in front of the Smart TV, providing the entertainment. The kitchen offers the basic amenities for a short break, including an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge, so you can rustle up a tasty meal when you’re not dining at a nearby cafe.
Gather round the dining table and discuss tomorrow’s plans, or whip out a board game and enjoy some quality family time. Each bedroom has been neatly presented, offering a double with en-suite shower, a 4’6" double and a twin, served by a bathroom with bath and shower over, so you can enjoy lazy soaks after a long day. Take a drink outside and rest at the patio furniture, taking in the tranquil setting and rural vistas, or wander the grounds of the park as you become familiar with your surroundings. If you fancy a night away from the kitchen, then visit the on-site bar and cafe, while there is also an indoor heated swimming pool available free of charge for up to six guests at a time.

While here, be sure to explore Bude’s selection of shops, pubs and supermarkets, with plenty of fun-filled activities like the Leisure centre, bowling alley and soft play area which is perfect for children. Kilkhampton is a little village and civil parish in Cornwall. The village offers basic amenities, including a post office, two pubs, three general stores and a selection of shops. It is situated a few miles away from the Victorian seaside resort of Bude, one of Cornwall’s most popular holiday locations. Bude is well worth a visit, offering picturesque beaches, where you can get involved in surfing. Those avid walkers can access the South West Coastal Path, providing picturesque views amidst fine scenery.

The bed in main bedroom did have a creek quite a bit although I'm sure it can be sorted easily enough and a little disappointed that the on site facilities were not open due to refurbishment. It was an ideal base to for both Cornwall and Devon.

It has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The standard is great. Very nice touch with the scones, also the blankets and dog treats are very thoughtful. The owners have thought of more than just the basics.

Itâs a lovely property with beautiful views in very peaceful surroundings. Everything was very well thought out and each member of the family had plenty of space and comfort throughout the stay. The property was spotlessly clean, well organised and the cream tea left in the fridge as a treat went down well! The only slight issue was the water supply, with 5 guests to get showered but only one shower can be used at a time, it makes getting out slower. This is the only negative about the property and despite this Iâm sure we will be be back. Itâs within a short easy drive of a choice of beaches so the kids were very happy. The on-site leisure centre pool and entertainment was great when the weather wasnât. We would definitely recommend a stay here.
