About this property

Bude 1.4 miles. Seashells is a delightful little cottage resting in a charming arrangement of properties on the outskirts of Bude, just a few miles from the coastline. After finding the off-road parking space, step into the open-plan living area where you can slump on the corner sofa after a long day, catching up on TV or planning the next attraction to box off. Move over to the kitchen, where you can switch on the electric oven and hob and start preparing a home-cooked dish, that is when you’re not sampling a fine local restaurant. Settle at the dining table and toast to a long-awaited getaway with your partner, before washing away the day in the shower room. The bedroom features a nautical theme with a king-size zip/link bed, which can be arranged into a twin on request. The cottage also comes with a private decking area, an ideal spot to catching the Cornish sun and there’s even a barbecue if you fancy a grilled lunch! Seashells offers a lovely escape for two, whatever time of year. Note: This property can be booked with Refs. 1108140, 1108259, 1108907, 1108909, 1108937, 1108938 and 1110094, together they sleep 29.

Bude is a wonderful beach town that you will want to visit again and again after your first visit. Bude has everything for everyone, including wonderful beaches for relaxing and making sandcastles, rockpools to explore at low tide, and cafes from which to observe it all. All year long, the rolling waves are ideal for surfing, and the walks along the restored canal or along the North Cornwall coastal route provide an excellent opportunity to explore and admire the stunning scenery. Bude also includes a fantastic golf course, an indoor pool, a bowling alley/indoor play area, and the Bude Castle Heritage Centre. There's also a good assortment of local shops, supermarkets, cafes, bars, and restaurants, as well as an outstanding Information Center. The ruins of a massive iron age hill fort at Warbstow Bury, from which panoramic views can be seen, are only a short drive away. Take the coast road north to see the lonely lighthouse perched above the sea at Hartland Point, or walk or ride a donkey down lovely Clovelly's steep and cobblestone village street (no cars permitted) to the port and tavern far below. The small cove of Crackington Haven, Boscastle, King Arthur's castle at Tintagel, Doc Martin's Port Wenn at Port Isaac, and more spectacular surfing beaches at Polzeath can all be found by following the coast in the opposite way.

!! Quaint exterior but fully modern inside. It is well laid out and feels spacious inside. Everything essential was provided. Staff were helpful and courteous. Location was also ideal on a working farm giving the feel of the country but also within walking distance of all amenities. Safe routes are well signed.

We were really disappointed with the cleanliness of the lodge, bundles of dog hairs everywhere, our white socks turned black from the floor within 10 minutes. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly after pervious stays. The double bed was 2 singles stuck together which you wouldn’t expect from a place charging these prices. The tv remote in the bedroom barely worked.

Was extremely impressed with both the site and the accommodation. The cottage itself was perfectly furnished and equipped. There is nothing that they haven't thought of. Proper home from home. The underfloor heating made it so cosy and warm and was a godsend for our pups to lie on after a day at the beach. Couldn't fault the location either. The site is perfectly maintained .Not far from the main town but so quiet at nighttime. Perfect for a good night's sleep. Even the resident cockrell didn't wake us up
