About this property

Settled in Tamar Valley in the rural village of Harrowbarrow near St Anns Chapel in Cornwall is this pleasant, single-storey cottage, Rumble. Enjoying a large, enclosed garden to dine alfresco in the warmer months and just paces away from amenities, this three-bedroom property makes a wonderful escape for both families and friends. Be greeted by ample off-road parking before stepping inside to find the contemporary kitchen with an oven and microwave to prepare delicious meals, as well as a dishwasher to do the cleaning up for you! Discover the traditional living/dining room; here you can unwind with a cup of tea as the open-fire crackles before you and the TV plays your favourite shows. When stomachs start to rumble, gather around the dining table to tuck-into home-cooked meals or why not venture out onto the sprawling garden to savour a cold beverage? As day draws to night, retire inside and choose between three bedrooms, including a king-size, a double and a single bedroom, all with ample storage to house your belongings. Awaken with a shower before joining your guests out on the lawn with a steaming cup of coffee to soak in the greenery. A short stroll will lead you into the hamlet of St. Ann's Chapel; here you can sample a great selection of food and drinks at Honicombe Manor Bar Rest and stock up the essentials at the Post Office. Explore the surrounding attractions with a trip to the wonderful The Tamar Valley Donkey Park or immerse yourself in the past at the medieval National Trust site of Cotehele Mill and Callington Heritage Centre. For a unique day out be sure to visit The Cornish Maize Maze and fun farm or this is Mary Newmans Cottage to learn about its riveting past, as well as enjoy cream tea. The port city of Plymouth is within easy reach, home to a flurry of attractions, including the largest aquarium in the UK, the vast greenery of Hoe Park and Sutton Harbour, which houses bobbing boats for a day trip. For all this and more, stay at Rumble.

St Ann's Chapel is a small hamlet located between the towns of Modbury and Kingsbridge in the South Hams district of Devon, England. An excellent local shop and The Pickwick Inn, a quaint bar providing cuisine, are both located within this small hamlet. Bigbury on Sea, a community with a big sandy beach (surf school, cafe) that stretches all the way to Burgh Island, is only three miles distant (famous art deco hotel, setting for Agatha Christie novels). Bigbury has a good golf course. The South West Coast Path is worth a visit, as is the local real ale pub in Ringmore, a nearby seaside community.
