The Dolcoath copper and tin mine, the deepest in Cornwall, is located in Camborne, the heart of a former mining community known as "Queen of Cornish Mines." Heartlands, a community space in Camborne that covers 19 acres and is dotted with mining relics, is now open to the public for free, allowing visitors to learn about Cornwall's history, browse art and craft projects, stroll through the gardens, and enjoy a picnic or lunch at the Red River Café. From Camborne's town centre, you can take an interesting town trail or spend the afternoon at the museum before exploring the town's many shops and pubs.
