Guests say

Bybrook Lodge in Camelford, Cornwall, is praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped kitchen. Guests enjoyed the peaceful location, proximity to beaches, and thoughtful touches like milk in the fridge. The lack of a fully enclosed garden for pets was noted, and some minor maintenance issues were mentioned.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be very clean, with comfortable bedrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. However, a few guests noted cobwebs and a dirty sheet upon arrival, which slightly affected the overall perception of cleanliness.

The lodge is appreciated for its quiet location with minimal light pollution, offering spectacular night skies. It is conveniently situated near lovely beaches and family-friendly attractions, although some guests noted a 30-minute drive to the beaches.

Guests found the cottage comfortable, with a special mention of the upstairs master bedroom. The provision of a baby gate and high chair added to the comfort for families. The size of the property was suitable for most, though some felt it might be a squeeze for larger groups.

The lodge is well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, and guests appreciated the useful information provided. However, there were comments about maintenance issues such as a loose towel radiator, non-working lights, and difficulty lighting the fire, which suggests room for improvement.

While guests mentioned thoughtful gestures like milk left in the fridge and a helpful guest book, there is not enough consistent information about gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

The listing and email confirmed an enclosed garden. This property does not have an enclosed garden, apparently it is partially enclosed, there is no such thing, a garden is either enclosed or not. Due to this we had to leave early as it really did not work for us. Also there was a patio table in the garden but no chairs to use with the table.

    Would definitely recommend.

It was very clean, contrary to comments in some earlier reviews, and very well equipped. We’ve stayed in a few different cottages in Inny Vale and we really liked the location of this one. We will hopefully return.
