About this property
This well presented holiday cottage occupies a quiet corner of the Village of Gardens holiday site, at Pendra Loweth near Falmouth. Flotsam is a mid terrace property overlooking the gardens. On the ground floor, the open plan living space has sitting and dining areas plus a modern and well-equipped kitchen. There are doors leading out on to a private patio complete with picnic table. a lovely little suntrap perfect for evening drinks and summer barbecues. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms; two doubles and a single room, all with more than ample storage. Pendra Loweth is very popular with families; there is plenty to keep everyone busy, with an onsite gym, splash pool, Jacuzzi and outdoor children's play area, as well as the tennis courts, large lawned areas and pretty, manicured gardens.
The sheltered beach at Maenporth is a fifteen-minute walk away a great beach for bathing, stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking, and there is also a café and an excellent restaurant in the cove. The town of Falmouth, with its marina and natural harbour, is just three miles from the Pendra Loweth. Here you will find an eclectic range of shops, galleries, restaurants and inns as well as the National Maritime Museum and the Ships and Castles Fun Pool. Perfectly located for a family holiday of sun, sea and sand, Flotsam is a true home-from-home.
Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (the third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches, will keep you occupied for hours. The town's old harbourside pubs, excellent shopping, art gallery and stunning National Maritime Museum simply complete the picture. Pendennis Castle, built by Henry viii, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views. Across from Falmouth harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes).

Also the front room the double bed is not fit for purpose. We could not use it very uncomfortable and made a noise every time you moved but we had a lovely holiday. Thank you some of the cups that were put in the cupboard were a bit dirty to be honest we didnât really use a lot of the stuff there we didnât cook in there, and we couldnât get onto Internet but thank you. We had a very nice holiday. It was in a very nice quiet area and hope to come again

In the second bedroom you could do with a better mattress and/or replacing the bed as it isnât particularly comfortable and the bed makes a lot of noise when you turn over. Also maybe time to replace the sofas as they arenât particularly comfortable. Was pleased that the WiFi has been upgraded. Overall a lovely cottage to stay in, peaceful and quiet place to stay.

Carpets need replacing as there are stains on them. Kitchen items were dirty including chopping boards cutlery, crockery and baking trays. The sheets on one bed were dirty and the duvet cover was ripped in two different places. There were cigarette butts in a jar left in the garden and halfway through the week a large bush was removed from the garden leaving no privacy as it backed out on to the parking area and a public pathway which lead to a walk. Apart from that the house was spacious. Thankfully the holiday park and the cafe were lovely.
