Joylands is a well-equipped, comfortable bungalow in a peaceful village near Falmouth, praised for its lovely garden, convenient location for exploring Cornwall, and suitability for families and dog owners. Guests appreciate the cleanliness, spaciousness, and homely feel, with many returning for repeat stays. Some minor maintenance issues and dated décor are noted, but these do not detract from the overall positive experience. The steep drive and lack of a welcome pack are mentioned, but the property remains highly recommended for a relaxing Cornish holiday.
Most guests found the property clean and tidy, with several reviews specifically praising the cleanliness of the bungalow and garden. A few noted issues such as dog hair on the carpet and a stale smell on arrival, but these were exceptions rather than the norm.
The location is frequently highlighted as a major strength, with easy access to Falmouth, beaches, and local amenities. The peaceful village setting and proximity to walks and attractions are consistently praised.
Guests generally found the bungalow comfortable, warm, and homely, with good beds and a relaxing atmosphere. Some mentioned dated furnishings and minor issues with living room seating or mattress firmness, but overall comfort remains a strong point.
The property is well-equipped with kitchen utensils, garden space, and amenities like WiFi and a washing machine. However, several reviews mention minor maintenance issues (e.g., broken lights, dated décor, garden upkeep, and shower pressure) and a lack of some items (e.g., teaspoons, egg cups, BBQ).
A number of guests noted the absence of a welcome pack or basic provisions such as milk or tea, which are often provided at other holiday rentals. While some appreciated clear instructions and helpful communication, gifts or welcome packs are not guaranteed at this property.

That said it had everything required. Location is excellent. Local pub is also a great find with good food and service. Handy if you don't feel like cooking after a day on the beach or exploring. Would certainly book again.
