All this and more awaits with a stay at Widgeons Keel.

At the western end of Cornwall's coast, Flushing is a charming seaside town. Falmouth is just over the Penryn River from the settlement of Penryn, which makes it an ideal starting point for a day of coastal exploration. With the port established by the Dutch in the 18th century and the Queen Anne style mansions erected by ship captains in the past, you can expect to witness lovely and unique architecture that is suitable for seeing at any time of the year. If you're looking for something a little more upscale, you may dine at the rnli Fitzroy Barometer, which serves as a reminder of the area's maritime past.

Tastefully decorated so that it felt like a home rather than a rental. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Well maintained, nicely and tastefully furnished. A radio may be a good idea to install.

Very comfortable beds. It is probably the best equipped cottage we've stayed at in many years of visits to Cornwall. The separate loo downstairs was essential, but please can you fit a lock to avoid embarrassing moments! Homely touches were great, especially the pictures, art and local history books. The parking space is a brilliant bonus in Flushing. Even out of season the roadside parking is very busy. However, sadly we were disturbed at night with noise from the neighbours due to the thin wall between the houses upstairs (on the left as you look at the cottage). They weren't being loud, but we could hear them talking, coughing, snoring etc late at night and early morning. Not a complaint about the neighbours, just the wall. Maybe others wouldn't notice it. The garden was a damp yard area with no sun or outlook, and so we didn't use it. The upper area would be amazing if it could be restored. The notes for the cottage probably need updating as the pub is now the Harbour House which is fine dining (and excellent!), and the shop is much improved under new ownership. Adrian the property manager was helpful and responsive before/throughout our stay. Overall we had a lovely holiday and the improvement feedback is really just to make the cottage perfect! Thank you.
