Please note: This property has a security deposit of £200. Property is via an unmade farm road.. Lesnewth is a magical hamlet with an ancient church and a scattering of farms. This traditional farmhouse which dates from the 18th Century is certainly not somewhere for those looking for a property with a modern refurbishment. This stunning original farmhouse is full of charm and is made complete with rustic, higgledy piggledy furniture, uneven wood flooring, a mixture of antique and quirky furniture and large, spacious, welcoming rooms. Step back in time and enjoy this fascinating house! The appeal of this lovely house is in the Aga warmed farmhouse kitchen, the beautiful slate flooring in the living room and the multi coloured bed spreads in this rural gem of a house. The house is best enjoyed with a large group.
The name Lesnewth is of Cornish origin and means ’New Court’ that is ’a chieftan’s estate’. Some of the oldest buildings of Lesnewth include the Church, the Rectory & the Mill. The village is situated approximately 2 miles east of Boscastle and 6 miles east of Tintagel. Boscastle is a tiny port set in a narrow ravine, the town came into prominence recently as a result of terrible floods in the summer of 2004. There is a pottery in the village and several gift shops. A footpath to the left of the quayside will take you to the ’Lookout’ which is a wonderful vantage point from which to view the rugged coastline.

Home is not suitable for oaps or people with disability and those should be made clear upon people booking with yourself as the experience our mum is getting on in life could not have been able to have a enjoyable time there and as u would appreciate that as he move to our later years a holiday us a memorable time with our loved ones so it was a devasting affect to begin the holiday on so we had to go somewhere else

A great, rambling farmhouse, full of character (and the occasional chicken in the kitchen). It is a vast, characterful building, with very comfortable beds, and well stocked kitchen.It is showing its age in terms of creaking stairs and floor boards, needs replastering and rewiring, but we had a really good stay. The one improvement we'd suggest is the addition additiondoor downstairs cloak room.The farm track to reach the property is long, and only rutted/slippery in a few places. My Fiat 500 was fine.It is a remote location, so the only noise is from the farm. The garden is extensive.

Great for multi generational families, peaceful and away from the rush of life. A lovely house and gardens. This type of holiday gives families the opportunity to get to know each other again, without the modern intrusions. The house is older but oozes character, fantastic Aga to cook on and large tables both in the kitchen and dinning room. This allows you to talk to each other without the intrusion of TV, social media and other things such as these which can sometimes get in the way of old fashioned conversation. There is of course wifi, and if you make your way to the large lounge which has a TV, if you really feel the need.
