We had a wonderful holiday at Fairmaiden. The cottage is ideally located in the beautiful and peaceful village of Polruan. There are lots of lovely walks from the door along the South West coast path with breathtaking scenery. We went swimming most days at the two small beaches in Polruan. The cottage is very cosy and comfortable , very clean and very well equipped. We had everything we needed and more.. Tina, the owner was so helpful and gave us lots of really useful information about the area. The courtyard garden is pretty and very private. Perfect for breakfast outside or a cup of tea and a book. We had a lovely family holiday and will definitely be coming back.

We had a lovely week at Fairmaiden. The house was very comfortable and well equipped. The owner shared detailed directions on how to reach Polruan - do follow these! I would advise looking at an old fashioned map if you want to avoid your Satnav taking you down some pretty hairy lanes! The village is lovely and the views are spectacular. The ferry to Fowey is quick and runs until 11pm. The convenience store is very well stocked and friendly.

Fairmaiden is a lovely little quirky cottage tucked away just off the main street in Polruan. The decor really sets the coastal Cornish scene and the beds and sofas are very comfortably for relaxing. The kitchen is well-equipped for a self-catering and there’s also a dishwasher and washing machine. The courtyard garden was a great bonus and quite a sun catcher throughout the day. As with many places in this area, there are some steep steps involved and the main street is also quite steep, but we found this helps burn off a few of those holiday calories! The cottage is very close to the local shop, two pubs and Fowey ferry, and there are many other beautiful beaches, woods, waterfalls, and places to visit locally. The owner was very nice and helpful, and left a list of other places worth visiting and other useful information in the cottage handbook. We would definitely stay here again!
