It felt like staying in a folly! Good comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. However, we found that the lounge suite was uncomfortable and would have preferred some nice cosy lounge seating. Also, it would have been nice to have some control of the central heating, instead of only having a fan heater in the lounge. The TV takes a bit of getting used to and the remote ran out of battery with no charger available. Most properties that we have stayed in also provided information packs with emergency details Enjoyed exploring all areas of the gardens and in the warm weather would have been nice to sit outside and watch the birds and the wildlife.

I wanted peace and quiet, wow did I get it. The cottage retains it's original charm and quirkiness, our bedroom had a significant gradient to the floor needing sea legs. The stone staircase could provide ptoblems to the infirm, but hey, I'm in my 60's and managed OK. I would highly reccomend this property. I feel honoured to have stayed there. The approach road takes no prisoners, be warned.
