Surrounded by rolling countryside and with outstanding views to Dartmoor, Summercourt is a newly refurbished, attractive single storey cottage. In a peaceful and tranquil location on the picturesque border of Devon and Cornwall, this stylish retreat is ideal for friends or families seeking to explore the North of Cornwall with its beautiful coastline, as well as the moors of Bodmin and Dartmoor National Park. The real heart of this home away from home is the spacious kitchen/dining room where you will find everything you could possibly need during a week-long break. Glazed French doors ensure that the space is filled with natural light and offer superb, long views. With all the appliances you could want, why not prepare a home-cooked meal before catching up with the day’s events or playing cards in front of the woodburning stove at the dining table. There's a separate sitting room where you can relax on the sofa and watch your favourite TV shows. You will find two smart bedrooms; a double and a twin room, both offering tranquil spaces to retire to each evening. On summer evenings, there is no greater way to pass the time than simply sitting on the spacious patio or garden and enjoying the splendid views with a glass of something cool. Here you will find miles of walking routes amid breath-taking scenery, as well as the coastal towns of Bude, Port Isaac, Padstow, Crackington Haven, Tintagel, Boscastle and Trebarwith Strand. There are many additional beaches nearby, some which are dog friendly all year round. If you can tear yourself away from this delightful base, venture to the town of Launceston, where you will find a selection of pubs and restaurants to enjoy, as well as a selection of shops to explore one afternoon. Within the town, you will also find the ruins of the 13th-century keep, a number of golf courses and the Steam Railway which offers 5-mile round trips on the North Cornwall line. Quiet and peaceful, Summercourt is perfect for exploring this part of Cornwall and Devon.
The pretty village of Egloskerry sits 4 miles west of Launceston, quietly resting amongst the beautiful green meadows of the upper Tamar Valley. An ideal place for those seeking the solitude of the countryside, this whole area offers an abundance of winding country lanes, wooded valleys and great wildlife spotting opportunities. The nearby reservoir at Roadford offers fishing, sailing and water sports, providing a great day out for all, whilst the Tamar Otter Park and the nearby golf course are not to be missed. ..if you want a quiet relaxing break this is the perfect place, only observation, location very rural 15 minutes of lanes to main road...bed low and would benefit from wooden flooring not carpets in living room and bedroom as dogs are allowed and the smell gets in the carpets...that's being picky but honest...we loved it there and would rebook even after our honest comments.

Property was very clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils and crockery. Only 2 SMALL criticisms :- 1. We were asked to separate food waste , cardboard, glass, plastics and general waste but no bags were provided (although we did search property for them). 2. The double bed was low and too firm in our opinion (a kingsize bed would easily fit and would be appreciated on our next visit)! We had no problems with either internet or mobile phones. Our stay was very restful and we look forward to our return.

The peacefulness of the location and the stunning view is just wonderful. Plenty of space outside in the well maintained garden to relax, chill and just soak up the therapeutic calmness of the countryside and vista. Inside , it is extremely well equipped , comfortable and very clean .The quality of the appliances and contents provided are all top class and state of the art modern . Despite the lovely isolation ,its only a short 20/30 min drive in either direction to the beaches , shops and holiday attractions . Great stay and look forward to returning Geoff & Anna
