Guests say

19 Meadow Retreat in Liskeard, Cornwall, offers a tranquil setting with stunning morning views and a range of luxurious amenities including a sauna, jacuzzi, and cinema room. Guests have praised the property's location, comfort, and the thoughtful welcome box, despite noting some maintenance issues and cleanliness concerns.

Cleanliness was generally good, but several reviews mentioned the need for deep cleaning in certain areas and issues with the jacuzzi cleanliness. Some guests encountered black mould-like sludge from the jets, which affected the overall perception of cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its peacefulness and proximity to local attractions such as the Eden Project and Looe. The convenience of nearby shopping facilities like Morrisons adds to the appeal of the lodge's location.

The lodge is considered comfortable by most guests, with a well-equipped kitchen and cosy atmosphere. However, some guests mentioned issues with the underfloor heating, a loud bedroom radiator, and the discomfort of two single beds pushed together.

Facilities like the cinema room, sauna, and jacuzzi are highlights, but maintenance issues such as the need for paint, bathroom flooring repairs, and updates to the TVs have been noted. The jacuzzi jets turning on unexpectedly and the lack of privacy due to the front door glass were also concerns.

The welcome box was a nice touch that guests appreciated, indicating thoughtfulness. However, as not all reviews mention gifts, and to ensure expectations are managed, it should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

It was immaculate and extremely comfortable! It had everything we needed for our stay! It was perfect for a relaxing week away! We will be back to stay again!

The lodge was shabby and in need of a lot of maintenance. We would have left had we not been offered to be moved to a different lodge. The lodge we moved into was amazing. We would definitely not return to No 19. This review is based solely on No19 and not on the lodge we moved to which we would definitely return back to. Tracey was brilliant in sorting out our issues and offering the other lodge.

The advertisement and pictures don’t align as this lodge is in need of some maintenance for sure and updates. The Jaquzzi bath leaked and the floor was lifting, the carpet to the bedroom area was threadbare and lifting and my partner who has MS nearly fell on lifted flooring and carpet also. The table and chairs on the bedroom veranda were falling apart and just at the end of days. It was a shame really but the only lifeline was the receptionist onsite who moved us to another lodge and it was truly appreciated. If this hadn’t of happened then I feel I would have no option to return home and abandoned the holiday. So I was pleased with Tracey and her communication from the outset that saved the day.
