Lanreath is a village in southeast Cornwall, five miles west of Looe. Lanreath is rural in character with a local shop and Post Office as well as a parish church. There are a number of ghost stories associated with Lanreath. The seaside town of Looe is only 5 miles away, perfect for family days out at Cornwall's second largest fishing port.

Yes there is a narrow lane to enter the site but it's passable in numerous places so don't let those comments put you off. We love the peace & quiet, the birds & the fact my mobile doesn't work ha ha. Within half hour you have Looe, Polperro Fowey and much, much more! The Hot Tubs are magic overlooking the water & very enjoyable day or night. Water's Edge 2 was a new lodge on us this visit. More overlooked than others we have stayed in but ok. Prefer the lodges that have the bedrooms overlooking the lake too. If you enjoy cooking then the equiptment was very poor in this Lodge. Very cheap for a 5 star Accomodation. Hob completely tempermental but we managed without the main burner. Would we return - definately but not this Lodge as prefer more privacy.

Staff at the resort were also so friendly. My only negative comment would be the furniture on the decking was a bit tired so could use replacing but everything else was spectacular and it felt like a home from home with everything catered for.
