5 Bodmin Hill is a spacious cottage in Lostwithiel, Cornwall, praised for its comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, and large garden. It's a convenient base for exploring Cornwall, with a mix of positive experiences regarding its amenities and location. Some guests highlighted issues with maintenance and cleanliness, but others were delighted with their stay, enjoying the local pubs and picturesque surroundings.
Cleanliness received mixed reviews, with some guests finding the property dirty, dusty, and with mould in places. Complaints about stained towels and greasy kitchenware suggest a need for improvement, impacting the score negatively.
The location is highly praised for being a great base to explore Cornwall, with easy access to local amenities and attractions. Despite some parking difficulties, the central position and proximity to pubs and shops are appreciated.
Guests found the beds comfortable and the cottage spacious, providing a relaxing environment. However, some noted that parts of the furniture and mattresses were worn, which detracts slightly from the overall comfort.
The facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and garden. However, maintenance issues such as boiler problems, weak internet, and electrical faults have led to a lower score in this category.
There is insufficient information to score thoughtfulness accurately. While one review mentioned wine and biscuits on arrival, it is not a consistent theme across the reviews, and it cannot be guaranteed for future guests.
