The garden is the true gem, with a beautiful summerhouse, a terrace that’s perfect for dining alfresco, and a raised decked area to unwind with your favourite book and a tipple. The inside of the holiday home is just as delightful; snuggle up on the sofa in the L-shaped living area and gaze out of the feature window at the waves, or enjoy sociable meals at the dining table. You access this property via a few steps down to the first floor, and when it’s time for bed guests in the twin room head down to the ground floor via external steps.
Portmellon Beach is less than 200 metres from your front door and is often covered by seaweed, giving little ones lots to explore. Porthpean Beach (6 miles) is ideal for sandcastles, while ‘secret’ Hemmick Cove (3.5 miles) may offer more calm. Charming Mevagissey is just 1 mile away; take the kids on the self-guided Treasure Hunt Trail that starts at East Wharf and leads you through the town’s winding streets. You can’t miss the incredible Lost Gardens of Heligan (3 miles) where you can walk through a jungle that’s got its own microclimate.
