Treat everyone to a big family holiday with this incredible property. This space is perfect for a really special occasion where everyone can explore Cornwall, swim in the sea, spot wildlife and enjoy each other’s company. Two dogs are also welcome.
Inside the cottage you’ll find a large and well-equipped kitchen, perfect for keeping everyone fed. Share your meals in the diner/lounge, which has a long table and a wide window, so you can see the beautiful countryside while you eat. Next door you’ll find the games room, complete with a collection of tabletop games, a Playstation and table football, plus a patio door leading outside for more active fun. There’s one downstairs bedroom, a comfortable double with a sea view. Head up to the first floor to find a bathroom, a twin room and two more double bedrooms. These doubles have access to a shared balcony for quiet evening drinks or an early-morning cup of coffee. Finally, climb to the second floor for the last bedroom, another twin. Everything is decorated in a charming and unfussy manner, with a few nautical highlights. The property grounds are lovely and include a patio with a dining table and a smooth lawn.
There’s plenty to explore around Portmellon, including the Lost Gardens of Heligan (3.5 miles), where there are beautiful plants and seasonal events; Caerhays Castle (4 miles) with impressive grounds and guided tours full of fascinating history and Pentewan Beach (3 miles) for splashing around. Take a walk along the Roseland Heritage Coast (14 miles) where you’ll find bays, beaches and plenty of wildlife.
