This spacious holiday home is in the popular coastal resort of Newquay on Cornwall’s north coast. The four-bedroom retreat sleeps eight guests and is perfect for families and groups of friends, with a choice of social spaces both indoors and outside. The property is less than 350 metres from the sandy Porth Beach and nearby family days out include Newquay Zoo (1.5 miles) and Lappa Valley (4.5 miles).
The family home is in a residential area. From the drive, step up to the covered porch and into the hallway, where you can store sandy shoes and walking boots. The hub of the home is a light-filled, contemporary kitchen/diner, with glossy units and all the equipment needed to cater for the group. Gather around the long dining table for family mealtimes, or relax on the comfortable sofa to watch the Smart TV or admire the views of the garden. Just off the kitchen is a handy utility area. In the evenings, enjoy movie nights in the main lounge or retire to the cosy snug with a glass of wine and a good book. Upstairs, discover four elegant bedrooms, one of which is a bunk bedroom that’s ideal for children. One of the bedrooms has an en-suite shower room and there is also a fabulous family bathroom on this level. Outside, the enclosed garden has a covered, decked area with comfortable outdoor furniture, as well as a patio area for al fresco dining, and a lawn where children and four-legged guests can play. There is an outside shower for rinsing off beach gear, and the property has private parking for three cars.
Newquay is a vibrant seaside town with excellent pubs and restaurants. The town is a hub for outdoor activities and water sports, and there are also some truly stunning coastal walks branching away from the town. Newquay boasts numerous beaches, your nearest being Porth Beach. This beach has glorious golden sand and turquoise waters, and is sheltered between two vast headlands. Day trips from Newquay include the harbour town of Padstow (16 miles) and the iconic ‘seven bays’ around St Merryn (15.5 miles).
