Dolphin Villa in Newquay offers a comfortable and well-equipped stay, with a particularly well-stocked kitchen and a nice outlook from the lounge. It is centrally located for exploring local beaches and towns, and the owners are praised for their communication. Some minor maintenance issues were noted, but overall, it serves as a good base for a Cornish holiday.
The property was generally found to be clean, with a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable living areas. However, there were minor cleanliness issues such as an uncleaned shelf and a found hairband, suggesting room for improvement.
The villa is centrally located in Newquay, making it convenient for visiting local beaches and towns. The site is described as nice and quiet, especially outside peak season.
Guests found the sofa comfortable and the living space spacious. However, issues with bed headboards and a dip in the double bed mattress affected the comfort level for some guests.
The kitchen was well-equipped, but there were issues with parking, heating, and a fridge not cooling properly. The lack of an easy-to-read information booklet and some non-working facilities were also noted.
While the owners are commended for their communication and responsiveness, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

It was tricky to find the actual villa at first but after we did then we had no issues getting in etc it was relatively clean, could do with a bit of a touch up mainly in the bathroom area though and my little boy did find a hairband under one of the sofas. The kitchen was well equipped (could have benefited from a little more washing up liquid) but it served its purpose despite us not being able to work the under counter lights. We didnât cook though only used it for breakfast time. The fridge also doesnât get to the cold temp needed so food went off quickly even though we tried turning it cooler it didnât really help but we managed. We enjoyed relaxing in the living room in the evening and it was the perfect base. The only thing which was a huge disappointment was the double bed. It had been well used and twisted so there was a massive dip where all the springs had gone and being 5 months pregnant the mattress alone along with the massive dip made sleeping uncomfortable so that was a shame. But I informed the hosts and they were understanding and said this would be replaced so I would book here again based on that. Otherwise I donât think weâd be back. We didnât have a shower mat or bathroom soap but again the hosts got the cleaner to drop them off. If the few things are rectified the villa makes a great base for visiting Cornwall.

It was very comfortable and spacious for our stay (family of 3 consisting of 2 adults and a 9 year old). Was located on a site which was a short drive to Newquay and surrounding towns. There was constant communication from the owners from start to finish even wishing us safe journeys (nice little touch). The next time we visit Newquay we will definitely check the availability of this villa. Thanks again
Linda
It was well equipped for all our needs. We had a couple of issues which we contacted the owner about and receian immediate response which was great.
