Eloen in Crantock is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its proximity to the beach, local amenities, and spaciousness. The property's cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and well-equipped kitchen are frequently highlighted, alongside the thoughtful touches from the owners. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
The majority of guests found Eloen to be spotlessly clean, contributing to a welcoming and comfortable stay. However, a few guests mentioned areas where cleaning could be improved, such as the BBQ and some bathroom fixtures, slightly lowering the score.
The location of Eloen is highly praised for its easy access to Crantock beach, local shops, and pubs. The convenience of being close to Newquay and the scenic views from the property contribute to a high score in this category.
Guests generally found the property comfortable, with special mentions of the quality beds and multiple living areas. However, some guests noted discomfort with specific mattresses and sofa beds, which affects the score.
Eloen is appreciated for its well-equipped kitchen and generous living spaces. Nonetheless, comments about maintenance issues such as heating problems, broken blinds, and the need for better-quality crockery and cutlery suggest room for improvement.
Guests often mentioned the thoughtful gestures from the owners, such as leaving wine and basic provisions. While these acts are greatly appreciated, it is important to note that such gifts are gestures of goodwill and may not be a consistent offering.

The location was perfect, just a 10 minute walk to the beautiful beach and a 5 minute walk to two lovely pubs. The well-stocked shop nearby was convenient for picking up any essentials we needed, along with fresh Cornish pastys and sausage rolls each day. There was a lovely park which was less than a 2 minute walk from the house which was great for the children to play in and next to an electric car charging point which was useful for us. The house itself was cozy and homely, with a TV that could access Netflix, Iplayer etc. The house had all things needed for a weekâs stay and the owner was easily contactable. We also appreciated the convenience of the bus stop at the end of the road, making it easy to explore the nearby towns of Newquay and Truro. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this holiday home.

We did notice that the house could have been a lot cleaner though. The bathrooms had not had the tiles washed and there was still a considerable amount of sand and soap scum in the bath when we arrived. This could have just been missed but just wasnât particularly appealing to get into when you want a wash after a long day travelling. The kitchen had one tea towel I think a couple could have been helpful and the towels were not very big so it was lucky we had packed extras with us. Really appreciate the high chair and washing machine this was a great add on! Really loved the decor and the comfort of the bed in the master bedroom, the light in there was lovely. We also loved how accessible the property was to Crantock beach. Thanks for the stay We hope to return again :)

It was close to the beach and the local village pubs and shop . On the negative side only one set of towels was provided per person for the whole 2 weeks meaning we had to wash them ourselves . There was no recycle option for glass at the property or locally that we could find .
