About this property

Perched in the idyllic village of St Columb Minor near Newquay in Cornwall, is this character-filled, semi-detached cottage, Kimberley House. Enjoying a fantastic location within easy reach of a good selection of beaches and the bustling attractions of Newquay, Kimberley House is a fantastic family-friendly choice for a group or family of seven. The property benefits from parking in a free car park and two enclosed gardens, perfect for your pooches to safely run and play! On the ground floor, you will find a fully-equipped kitchen where you can rustle up tasty meals in the warmth of the woodburning stove, ready to enjoy at the kitchen dining table, alfresco out in the large rear garden, or at the dining table in front of the feature fireplace. Just off the kitchen, you will find a handy utility, along with a shower room, perfect for quick freshen ups! After dinner, retire to the sitting room where you can kick-back on the plush corner sofa in front of the crackling woodburning stove, as your favourite show plays out on the Smart TV, or head to the games room, where you can enjoy the delights of an arcade machine, table football, TV with Playstation and a drinks fridge. Upstairs, you will find four tastefully decorated bedrooms, a super-king-size with zip/link, a king-size, a twin and a single, all of which have access to a well-appointed bathroom with gorgeous roll top bath and walk-in shower. Explore the village, where you can treat your loved ones to a well-deserved meal at The Farmers Arms, order in from the Chinese takeaway, or stock up on essentials at the convenience store. For a wider selection of amenities, head into Newquay, where you can spend a day at Newquay Zoo or the Blue Reef Aquarium, enjoy leisurely strolls along The Gannel Estuary, savour fresh seafood at The Harbour Fish and Grill, hike up to the clifftops to visit Huer’s Hut, spend a day at the beach bathing or learning how to surf, or test out your swing at the excellent golf club. Continue onto Perranporth, where you can explore the Perranzabuloe Museum, visit the fascinating Cligga Head Wolframite Mine, or time your visit right to attend the annual Tunes in the Dunes Festival in June. For a taste of city life, venture further to Truro, home to Truro Cathedral, Royal Cornwall Museum, Boscawen Park and Truro Golf Club. All this and more awaits at Kimberley House.

Off the main road leading to Newquay, in the tranquil village of St. Columb Minor, there is a store and a top-notch neighbourhood bar called the Farmers Arms. Here, a variety of weekly activities seem to be the most well-liked, in addition to being well-known for their food and local ales. The majestic village church, which dates to circa 1430 and is located across from the bar, has served as a signpost for generations of fishermen thanks to its tall tower. There are so many beautiful beaches in Newquay that you will be spoiled for choice, but Porth beach is the best for families. It is a wonderful sandy beach with a sheltered aspect that is shielded by headlands on both sides and has long been a favourite among locals. The town of Newquay, which is less than a mile away and is renowned as the centre of the UK's surf scene, is a watersports haven with three major beaches, the National Surf Centre, and an inexhaustible supply of rolling surf.
