About this property

Nestled in the small village of Crantock in Cornwall, is this lovely three-bedroom bungalow, Seawynds. Enjoying a superb position along the stunning Cornish coast and just moments away from Crantock Beach, Seawynds is a fantastic pet-friendly dwelling for a group or a family of six, plus their canine companion. Three off-road parking spaces will greet you on arrival, before unloading your bags and making your way into your new holiday home. Look forward to firing up the woodburning stove, sure to be your pooches favourite spot, and relaxing on the plush sofas in the sitting room as you select a family favourite from the large TV. Cook-up delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen, featuring a handy washing machine, ready to enjoy in the conservatory/dining room at the table for six. If the weather is nice, why not enjoy dinner alfresco out in the rear enclosed garden at the charming picnic bench, as your four-legged friend stretches their legs. After a day of exploring, soothe tired muscles with a soak in the beautiful freestanding bath or wash away the day with a hot shower. As your eyes grow heavy, retire to one of three well-appointed bedrooms, two doubles and a twin, each with plenty of storage for your belongings. Explore the local village, where you can treat your loved ones to a well-deserved meal at the welcoming Albion Inn or stock up on essentials at the convenience store to whip up family favourites in the comfort of Seawynds. Pack-up your bathing suits, swimming trunks and towels and head straight for the golden sands of the National Trust owned Crantock Beach, here you can bathe with your favourite book, paddle the shores, fish or try your hand at surfing. The keen walkers in your party will delight at the close proximity of the South West Coast Path, where you can expect to see some of the best sights and scenery in the area. Adjacent to the village is the busting town of Newquay, here you will find a hub of activity including the excellent Newquay Golf Club, Fistral and Newquay Beach, Blue Reef Aquarium and the popular Newquay Zoo, perfect for a fun-filled day out with loved ones. Be sure to visit the beautiful Holywell Bay during your stay, home to its own fabulous beach backed by sand dunes, and the nearby eateries of Woody’s Bar and the 16th-century Smugglers Inn. Adventure awaits with a stay at Seawynds.

Nearby Newquay, Crantock is a little Cornish settlement that is just a short walk from the beach. This is the ideal location if you want to avoid the crowds but still be near to the excitement. It's easy to get lost in the beautiful landscape and charming villages that dot the area, but the coast is the primary focus. From Watergate Bay in the north to Fistral beach in Newquay's centre, and all along the coast, you may enjoy spectacular hikes along the coastal path or world-class surfing.

Positives: close to sea and good beaches, enclosed garden, good dining area and most of required facilities. Great map. Negatives: one sofa needs replacing, no cleaners for toilet, floors, kitchen etc. child gate ( floor bar) a trip hazard ( wife kicked it several times) ouch! Nothing that would prevent us from returning though.

It is in a great location, walking distance of the glorious beach, village centre and two dog friendly pubs. We particularly love the fact that it has a woodburner and safe, enclosed garden. It is very clean, comfortable and spacious. Crantock is a fabulous, friendly and welcoming village. Lots of fantastic walks on the doorstep with other beautiful locations within driving distance. We would recommend a drive out to Golitha Falls, it's absolutely stunning. We had a slight problem with the hot water but a quick phonecall got it promptly sorted. We've already priced it up for next year. Unfortunately (inline with everything else) the price may be financially beyond us atm but we definitely hope to return one day.

A few minutes walk to Crantock village and a 10 min stroll to the beach. Parking for two cars easily. Furniture all looks fairly new and both double bedrooms have the same amount of storage so you don’t have to choose who has the better one. Garden is secure for dogs and a dog bed is supplied. Kitchen has lots of utensils and crockery & 2 ovens. Garden table & bench outside, maybe a couple of deck chairs/sun loungers could be supplied? Will definitely stay here again. Thank you owners for a great bungalow.
