When the evening draws to a close, head into the shower room to wash off the day’s adventures before retiring to either the double or twin bedroom.
With picturesque wanders in the woods and an award-winning Blue Flag beach on your doorstep, nowhere does coastal woodland quite like Sun Haven Holiday park. Offering easy access to the best of both landscapes, start your ultimate coastal forest walk by crossing the little stream at the bottom of the park. Then the real adventure begins through the River Menalhyl woodland to get to Mawgan Porth and its stretch of golden sand. Make sure you stop by the Merrymoor Inn while you’re in the seaside village for a traditional Cornish ale. In the morning head to Newquay where you’ll find yourself back at the beach rubbing wetsuits with the surfers at Fistral Beach, Towan Beach and the Bedruthan Steps.
For those who prefer to stay on dry land, the tropical biomes of The Eden Project are yours to explore as they lie just a short scenic drive from Sun Haven Holiday Park. You’ll also find The Japanese Garden up the road from the park; inspired by the East and connected by winding paths, each garden is a breath of fresh air. Your holiday in nature starts at Sun Haven 6.
Mawgan Porth is a secluded cove on the beautiful north Cornish coast between Newquay and Padstow, known for its golden sand beach, excellent surf, and proximity to numerous caves and a coastal trail. Relax in the warm summer sun, master the art of surfing, or take a leisurely stroll along the cliffs while keeping an eye on the waves. Nearby, in Mawgan Porth, is a plethora of high-end dining options, including Paul Ainsworth's No. 6 and Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant, and the wonderful adults-only Scarlet Hotel offers Spa treatments and amenities to non-residents. Tennis courts, a pitch and putt, and an 18-hole golf course with Atlantic views can all be found in Mawgan Porth, as can a deli and a farm shop providing meat, eggs, vegetables, bread, and pasties from nearby farms.
