This large, contemporary house sits in the peaceful village of Tregurrian, above the golden sands of Watergate Bay on Cornwall's north coast. Spread across two floors with a secluded garden, the property provides multi-generational families with a spacious coastal base for surfing, beach days, and long walks along the cliffs. Watergate Bay stretches for 2 miles, its cliff-lined shores bright with sea pinks and gorse, and is well known for its surfing – a surf school and a selection of beachside restaurants sit right on the sand. From neighbouring Porth Beach (2.5 miles), a coastal walk leads along the rugged promontory of Porth Island, where the remains of an Iron Age castle and a dramatic blowhole visible at mid tide reward exploration.
A generous entrance hall on the ground floor keeps surf kit and shoes out of the way. Two bedrooms sit on this level, one super-king-size zip-and-link bed that can set up as twin, and one with bunk beds, alongside a family bathroom with shower over the bath and a WC. A cloakroom with a WC sits off the hallway, and a utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. Two staircases lead to the first floor.
