Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.

The moment you walk in the accommodation strikes with its beauty and lovely wood smells. The views from the living room and the master bedroom are spectacular across the Camel to Padstow( make sure you take Binoculars) I would have been happy to stay here for the rest of my days.

The first is that it really needs an outside tap so that sandy wetsuits and boots etc can be washed off outside rather than in the apartment itself. The second is that the rubbish arrangements simply don't work. We were told to put all our rubbish (mixed - no separate recycling which itself is strange) into one wheelie bin next to where the car parking space is. When we arrived it was already full but by shoving the rubbish down we just managed to get one more bag and some bottles in. When we left it had still not been emptied. There were no instructions as to moving the wheelie bin to a location where the Council (or whoever does the collection) would pick it up, so it stayed where it was and was not emptied. As it was we had to take one black bag full and some bottles to Wadebridge when we went there. That needs sorting out. Also when we arrived there were 4 separate lights that were not working. They were all light bulb issues - nothing more and the bulbs were replaced quickly but we should not have had to ask.
