Toadstools is a well-received cottage in Cornwall, praised for its cleanliness, peacefulness, and thoughtful touches like flowers and biscuits. It offers a cosy atmosphere with a log burner and a private garden, making it a hit with dog owners. While some guests found the property cold and lacking in kitchen amenities, the majority enjoyed the location and the welcoming hosts.
The majority of guests have highlighted the cleanliness of Toadstools, often describing it as spotless and well-maintained. A few comments about dampness slightly affect the score, but overall, the property is consistently praised for its cleanliness.
The location is generally appreciated for its peacefulness and proximity to local attractions and walks. Some guests mentioned the need to drive to reach certain destinations, and the property being a bit isolated, which is ideal for some but not for others.
Guests find Toadstools comfortable, with a cosy log burner and a comfy bed. However, some have mentioned the property being cold due to thick stone walls, and a few found the furniture low or the space a bit small for their preference.
While the cottage is often described as well-equipped, there are several mentions of missing kitchen utensils and issues with the cooker, which suggest room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
Many guests appreciated the thoughtful gestures such as welcome packs with shortbread, tea, and milk. It's important to note that while these gifts are frequently mentioned, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Nice secure garden. Well equipped kitchen. It would be nice to have a mirror in the bedroom and a bit more storage, for a longer stay. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming, even put the heating on, so it was warm when we arrived. We would stay here again.

Well situated for visiting the surrounding areas. We would stay here again

Quiet and peaceful. Within easy reach of shops and services. As a base to explore locally it was ideal. There is a lot to see and do within an hours drive and close enough to for longer days out if you wish. We would probably stay again if visiting this area.
