About this property

Nestled in St Hilary, Kim's Cottage is a quaint, mid-terrace cottage within easy reach of the Cornish coast. Three bedrooms sleep up to six guests, with a highchair and travel cot available, making for an ideal base to host a family holiday in Cornwall. Be immediately welcomed by the living/dining room with charming cottage features, including a padded window seat and an open fire set in a stone fireplace; curl up with a book on the cushioned sofas or play your family's favourite movie on the Smart TV, all the while the fire gently crackles on colder nights. Set the dining table for six whilst the family chef rustles up a hearty breakfast or home-cooked dinner in the adjoining kitchen, equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. Head straight for the utility after a day at the beach to chuck in sandy towels and bathing suits ready for the next day! At the rear of Kim's Cottage, find a pretty garden space to unwind with a tipple on the outdoor seating and patio, before settling down for the night. Wash off the day in the well-appointed bathroom on the first floor, complete with a bath for longer soaks and a shower over to rinse off the sand, whilst your towel warms on the heated towel rail. Slip into fresh pyjamas and climb under the sheets in one of three bedrooms; a super-king-size, a king-size or a twin for the little ones, all of which offer ample storage space, quaint décor, and wooden latch doors for a fusion of character and contemporary. Offering an inviting base, choose Kim’s Cottage for your getaway to Cornwall. Note: This property can be booked with Ref: 1113232, together sleeping up to guests 12 guests.

The former mining village of St. Hilary is situated at the heart of the Mounts Bay area at the very foot of Cornwall, 3 miles from the sandy beach at Marazion, with its instantly recognisable landmark St Michael's Mount. Better blinds or curtains would be better in bedrooms though as when cars go past at night the whole room lights up. Also found the heating impossible to put on so had to sit and shiver under a blanket while watching tv - luckily it was our last night. The people staying in the cottage next door had a dog that barked constantly - I did contact Sykes and although they got back to me initially they never contacted me again which was disappointing. All in all had a lovely stay though and would happily stay again.

The location and facilities are excellent, and ideally located. I'm glad I am very experienced at driving on Cornish lanes. The walk to Goldsithney is beautiful. Love the garden, great to sit out when the weather is suitable. I recommend changing the cupboard hinges to soft close versions, that took a bit of getting used to. Thank you for the biscuits and tea/coffee, this was very thoughtful. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the lounge/cooking facilities were very high quality. I might suggest including some instructions on how to switch the child lock for the hob off, It took some time to find online instructions.
