Goldsithney is a lovely Cornish village located inland from the shore, away from the madding crowds but still convenient to the region's many tourist attractions. St. Michael's Mount, a fortress on an offshore island, dominates the area and is only 2 miles distant, making it a must-visit when the tide is out and the causeway is accessible. Fabulous beaches, the coastal trail (which winds along the tops of the cliffs), and excellent sailing and fishing are all within easy reach. Penzance is a great starting point for visiting Cornwall because of its bohemian vibe and proximity to the wonderfully lovely fishing villages of Marazion and Mousehole.

The weather was not kind to us but the cottage was welcoming and extremely warm and comfortable. A great safe haven.

Sumptuously comfortable beds, marvelous towels, brilliant lounge and big, light airy conservatory for meals and doing puzzles. Well placed for visiting Marazion, Mullion and The Lizard which was our wish list. Lovely garden. The birdsong was beautiful. Thrilled with the kitchen where we were able to cook lovely meals and scones and apple crumble. Hoping to return!

I put food in the oven which should have taken 15 minutes to heat up and took over an hour. Some of the crockery was chipped and should be replaced. Separate toilet has no sink to wash hands after use. Can't see why you would have this as bathroom is next door. To heat dining room had to open the doors from living room and kitchen as radiator does not heat room enough. Weather was warmer than normal for the time of year.
