Perched within close reach of the bustling towns of Perranporth and Newquay, is this spectacular property, Meadows House. This contemporary-style dwelling is ideal for a traditional seaside getaway for a family looking to explore this corner of Cornwall, with a welcoming base to come back to of an evening. It comes with two well-presented bedrooms, comprising of a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and a family bedroom with three single beds. Completing the first-floor is a stylish bathroom, where after a busy day exploring the area you can look forward to enjoying a warming soak within the bath before retiring.
On the ground floor you will find an elegantly dressed sitting room, where you and your loved ones can gather to catch up on your favourite TV, this room also includes the double sofa bed. Beyond here is the amply equipped kitchen, where you will find all the necessities required for a week long break with your family. Enjoy your morning coffee or alfresco dining within the garden, where you can soak up the sun within the sitting area, while younger guests stretch their legs on the lawn area. If you don’t feel like cooking one evening, make your way into the centre of Goonhavern where you will find traditional pub serving superb food and a shop for picking up the necessities.
To keep you busy whilst staying here, make your way to Perranporth where you can spend a summer’s afternoon lounging on the sandy beach before enjoying one of the many watersports on offer. Further afield, is the town of Newquay, where younger guests will be delighted with its zoo and Blue Reef Aquarium. Meadows House promises a memorable stay within an outstanding coastal location.
Goonhavern is a small village resting two miles away from Perranporth. Within this village you will find a traditional inn, village shop, garden centre and children’s playground. The town has also retained much of its heritage, with many abandoned pump houses, mine shafts and workers’ cottages situated throughout the village. Nearby, Perranporth houses a sandy beach and a selection of shops, restaurants and pubs.

We have booked with Sykes for a few years now & it's always the first place we start to look for a holiday home in the UK. This time we were surprised not to hear/see anything from the owners over the whole week, a quick/hello text would of been good & no welcome pack, not even a pint of milk was unusual, for that we gave 4 stars, a shame as it could so easily be perfect.

Unfortunately the creaking floorboards did irate us. Ideal position for exploring the local area if you have not visited cornwall before. Unfortunately the kettle knob was broken on arrival, but this did not stop it being used. The cooker

, everything in the kitchen you need and plenty plates cups etc. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of pillows if needed. Towels provided but if you are on the larger size the bath towels would be a tad small . There is a hair dryer also provided which was unexpected but very welcome find . My only moan would be about the creaking floors especially at night if youâre a light sleeper like me . I also think it would be nice to have a small welcome pack of just milk bottle water and a few tea/coffee bags, nothing major as it could get too silly and expensive every week but just a few bits as when youâve been travelling for a long time itâs nice to get a brew before you start unpacking or waiting for your shopping delivery . It would also be nice if you could access the house earlier as 4 pm is a long wait, also a 9am departure is early , it would be nice if a 2-3pm and 10 am time slots could be applied The house itself is set in a quiet location and so peaceful but not too far from the town and beach . This house is lovely and everything is there for a perfect stay, the owners should be very pleased and proud of the property they have presented and I will recommend to all that ask as I really do think itâs a lovely place
