There is enough room in the small enclosed front lawn for children’s games, while the views from the rear patio are best enjoyed with fortifying refreshments at sunset.
Portreath is a small village centred around its harbour and large sandy beach, with plenty of cafes, shops and dog-friendly pubs to visit in between times. Portreath is a popular water sports destination, as are the beaches at Gwithian and Porthtowan (within 6.5 miles). The 11-mile Coast to Coast Trail between Portreath and Devoran, an old mineral tramway, is a huge hit with walkers and cyclists, and a great way to learn about the industrial history of the area.
