Chi Lowen is a charming three-bedroom Cornish cottage that comfortably sleeps five guests, offering a welcoming base for families and friends. Its proximity to the train station makes it ideal for those wishing to arrive without a car. Upstairs, the cottage features three comfortable bedrooms while downstairs provides a warm and sociable living space centred around a cosy wood burner. A small step-down leads to the well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. At the rear of the property, a decked seating area and enclosed garden create a safe and private outdoor space where children can play freely, and one dog can enjoy time outside.
Redruth itself is steeped in history. Once the beating heart of Cornwall’s tin and copper mining industry during the 19th century, the town is surrounded by landscapes shaped by its industrial past. Today, Redruth has become an ideal base for exploring Cornwall’s countryside and dramatic coastline. It is especially popular with walkers and cyclists, offering a variety of scenic routes ranging from gentle woodland trails to rugged coastal paths with stunning views.
Nearby, Tehidy Country Park provides a peaceful contrast, with open parkland and tranquil woodland. Clearly colour-coded footpaths make it easy to explore, walk around the lake or stroll through woods rich in wildlife and native flora. For family-friendly days out, visit the Seal Sanctuary in Helston see rescued seals and enjoy the children’s play area, or head to Paradise Park, home to over 130 species of birds, an outdoor Paradise Island playground, and an indoor soft play area.

The moment we arrived in this property it smelt damp and musty hence the little things in the corners to get rid of damp, the outside was was terrible , over grown grass dead plants and a traffic cown it look like a derelict house, there was rubbish with flies left on the work top and an over filling bin at the back door , with left over food and maggots spilling out,My bedroom was only half painted, started and stopped, no wardrobes in any bedroom or drawers just a metal stand for clothes, in my grandsons room there was nothing for your clothes baring in mind we,d gone for 2 weeks.In the kitchen no jugs or casserole dishes to cook anything yet it says equipped!This was one of the worst places in 20 years what could of been a beautiful property was not thought out right for holiday makers, it looks rushed and cheap even the tv was a very small monitor screen Never again
