Guests have had a delightful experience at the Oak lodge, praising its cleanliness, stunning views, and peaceful atmosphere. The hot tub is frequently highlighted as a highlight, offering relaxation amidst the beautiful countryside. The host, Liz, is commended for her hospitality. While there is a single mention of a rash potentially caused by the hot tub, the overall sentiment remains overwhelmingly positive.
Reviews consistently mention that the property is clean and well-presented, indicating high standards of cleanliness. One isolated complaint about a rash potentially linked to the hot tub suggests a possible oversight but does not seem to reflect the general experience.
The location is highly praised for its stunning views and peaceful setting, contributing to a relaxing experience. The proximity to nature and wildlife adds to the appeal, with no negative comments about the location.
Guests describe their stays as peaceful, relaxing, and comfortable, with the lodge being equipped with everything needed. The mention of cosy furnishings and a well-equipped pod suggests a comfortable environment, although a request for more hanging space indicates a minor area for improvement.
Facilities like the hot tub are frequently commended and appear to be a major draw for guests. However, one report of a rash and a suggestion for additional lighting near the hot tub indicate that while facilities are generally excellent, there is room for better maintenance and minor enhancements.
Several reviews express appreciation for thoughtful touches such as milk in the fridge and toilet rolls, suggesting attentive hosting. While gifts like tea and coffee are mentioned, it's important to note that such amenities, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Saltash is dominated by the magnificent Tamar Bridge, Brunel’s masterpiece of engineering taking people from Devon to Cornwall across the Tamar River, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Saltash retains much of its old Cornish charm with narrow streets rising steeply from the banks of the river, and plenty of shops and interesting inns. From the old quayside there are river trips up stream to Calstock, a pretty village with white cottages on a steep hillside. Here, the 120 foot giant 11-arched Calstock Railway Viaduct towers above the River Tamar and carries one of Britain’s most picturesque branch lines down to the coast. Saltash offers some beautiful walks along the Tamar, and is only a five minute drive from Plymouth, with a plenty to occupy visitors including the historic Barbican quayside area with cafes, shops and bistros, the National Marine Aquarium and several theatres. A perfect base for exploring the area along the beautiful River Tamar.
