17 The Cliff in St. Austell, Cornwall, is a well-appointed cottage praised for its stylish interiors, excellent location, and comfortable living spaces. Guests appreciate the property's proximity to local attractions and public transport, with many finding it unnecessary to have a car. The cottage boasts a sunny patio, sea views, and a well-equipped kitchen. While most reviews highlight the cleanliness and comfort, a few guests noted minor issues that were promptly addressed.
The cottage generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests finding it tidy and well-kept. However, one review mentioned an issue with an unpleasant odour, which was resolved by the guest, slightly lowering the score.
The location is highly praised for its convenience to the town centre, harbour, and local attractions like The Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project. The scenic views and easy access to public transport are also appreciated.
Guests find the cottage to be very comfortable, with stylish interiors and a cosy atmosphere. The 'upside down' layout with cool, dark bedrooms is mentioned positively, although one guest suggested the double bed's mattress could be improved.
The cottage is well-equipped with a kitchen containing everything needed, a private patio, and a wood burner. Some guests were inconvenienced by the reduced cutlery and crockery due to COVID-19 measures, which impacts the score slightly.

. could not fault it. It had everything we needed. Lovely to find tea bags sugar milk and Cornish cookies on our arrival. Great having a garden. Would definitely recommend.

It was extremely clean, comfortable and with many lovely little extra touches that were so special. The ice machine helped to keep our drinks chilled and the log burner helped us to stay cosy on milder evenings. Our sons had a wonderful time crabbing in the harbour and Polstreath Beach was just a short walk away - our favourite beach of all! We hope to return to this wonderful abode.
