About this property

Nestled at the heart of the bustling, seaside village of Mevagissey, a popular coastal settlement in Cornwall, lies this delightful, three-bedroom holiday home, Vincent Cottage. With well-presented interiors featuring exposed stonework and tastefully-incorporated wooden beams, and a superb positioning to nearby shops, pubs and attractions, this charming property welcomes a family of six and their well-behaved dog for a relaxing, self-catered escape to the exquisite Cornish coastline. Step into your lovely new lodgings, where you'll find a fully-equipped kitchen complete with all the appliances the designated chef will need to prepare a delicious, home-cooked meal. Savour your meals with your loved ones at the dining table, before you retreat to enjoy a film on the Smart TV in the sitting room as you plan the rest of your trip. As day rolls into night, be sure to rejuvenate with a long, hot shower before you finally tuck yourself in for a much-needed rest in one of the three inviting bedrooms. After you've polished off your morning coffee whilst soaking in your tranquil garden space out back, lace up your boots and take a walk into Mevagissey village to see what the local area has in store. Stock up on supplies at the Mevagissey News convenience, pick up some souvenirs at The Corner Shop, and settle down for a hearty pub lunch at The Sharksfin, all of which are situated a mere stone's throw from your fabulous new dwelling. After your bellies are filled, take a peaceful stroll along the tranquil setting of Mevagissey Inner Harbour, where you can walk up to the Mevagissey Museum and the Mevagissey Harbour Wall Museum to learn more about the village's history. A brief drive from your new home will also bring you to several notable landmarks, including The Lost Gardens of Heligan and Pentewan Beach to the north, along with Caerhays Castle and the National Trust scenic point of The Dodman to the south. For the ultimate escape to Cornwall, look no further than a stay at Vincent Cottage.

The perfect Cornish fishing village, with winding cobbled streets and a picturesque harbour full of boats. Stunning walks lead along the coast in both directions, with sandy beaches, high cliffs and hidden coves to explore. The village has an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants, whilst just up the road are the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A ferry from Mevagissey to Fowey also runs daily between Easter and September. Spend some time at the Tall Ships harbour at Charlestown (7 miles) with its shipwreck museum, or among the tropical biomes of the world-famous Eden Project (11 miles). The stunning coastline, fabulous beaches and renowned gardens of the beautiful Roseland Peninsula are a short drive down the coast while Truro, with its shops, restaurants, theatre and cathedral can be reached by car in half an hour.

The only thing missing from inside are shower mats as the shower is very slippery when wet. It would help if it told you in the information before booking that it is up a steep cobbled hill which is very slippy when wet. We would not have booked if we had known as two members of our party have mobility issues.

We were a little disappointed with the strong smell of dog and hairs that were everywhere including on towels, bed linen and headboard!
